- PCPatty C2 days ago1.0I received a gift card for Christmas to pick out a kayak. When the card was purchased my husband was told if the item wasn’t in stock it could be ordered. Early spring go to the store and they have 1 recreational kayak. Ask if they will be getting more in. No, but I can order any online and it’ll be shipped to the store. Pick one out. Not available for shipping. As a matter of fact not a single one could be shipped. Call the store thinking they might be able to order it. Give them the item number. They said they have it in stock. Make a special trip (50 miles one way) only to find out that it’s not the correct one. Spoke to a young man who in turn spoke to the store manager. Kayak not available. Store manager would not come out of his office. And they refused to give a refund for the gift card. Poor customer service is an understatement.

- MFMichael FranksApr 11, 20262.0This may be the worst stocked Sportsman store I’ve ever been to. Clothing racks scooted miles apart with literally nothing that matches. They even had a mannequin made up of two different camo patterns. Shelves empty everywhere. Maybe they are closing ???? Not sure but a wasted stop.

It was defective (one of the dials wouldn't turn), so I immediately returned it in under 24 hours, complete with the receipt, full packaging etc. I requested to simply exchange it. They said that it was against their policy, and I had to send it in and wait at least a week for the manufacturer to fix it or replace it because now it's "in my name". When I said they could take it back and put it back "in their name" and just exchange it, they agreed, but said their corporate office just wouldn't let them for some reason. That's subpar customer service. Every other major store - and small store - will take on the burden of dealing with the manufacturer warranty when you LITERALLY JUST BOUGHT THE THING from them.
