  Buyer Beware - DO NOT order from Nordstrom.com. I ordered an item 10 days ago and immediately tried to cancel the order. I was told I could not cancel because the item was being shipped. 10 days later and the item has still not shipped and they still won't let me cancel. Buy anywhere else!

  I wanted to recognize Tanya at Nordstrom for providing a level of customer service that is becoming increasingly rare. While I was trying on clothing, Tanya checked on me multiple times throughout my visit, not in a pushy way, but with genuine attentiveness and a desire to help. She made sure I had everything I needed, offered assistance when appropriate, and created an experience that felt welcoming and personal. In a world where great service can sometimes feel hard to find, Tanya's hospitality truly stood out. She made the shopping experience enjoyable, comfortable, and stress free.

  I normally have a good experience but today I had quite a frustrating and unprofessional visit to the alterations department. I waited 15 minutes for the seamstress to even come downstairs long enough that the associate was profusely apologetic. Once she arrived, a simple request to shorten a shirt became an ordeal, she seemed unfamiliar with how to do it and told me she needed to hurry because she had other things to do, as if helping a customer alter the company’s wasn't the entire point of her job. She then demanded a receipt, then argued when I said the purchase was already in the company system. It took the associate on the floor at the time looking up my number to get her to proceed. Even after I handed her another reference shirt from Nordstrum at the correct length to measure from, she asked how she was supposed to know how to alter it… I had to direct her through the basic steps myself. Her attitude only softened once she realized I was a verified paying customer and the associate confirmed my previous payments and alterations within the last month. Again, normally my experience is fine, but for a store that sells itself on service, today fell well short of expectations, and it deserves management's attention.

  I made my first Nordstrom purchase! I really love it here and I'm already wish listing future purchases! The women's department is great! I like the collection of designers there!
