  I love Nordstrom. I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing. There’s not one in the city where I live. I always make it a point to come here whenever I’m visiting Cincinnati. I really needed a couple of nice dresses that I could transition into fall and wear variety of occasions. The sweetest lady who works in the designer section came over to help me even though I was not shopping in the designer section. She pointed out pieces that had an elevated look to them were well-made and flattering for my body. She came to the dressing room and checked on me and gave me feedback and got me sizes. I walked out with two dresses that I’m super excited about. That hardly ever happens to me. This sweet lady that was working the designer section and women’s clothing today needs a raise. She is a gem.

  I had an extremely disappointing experience at Nordstrom on August 25, 2026, particularly at the fragrance counter. The manager kept a perfume I had purchased for nearly $200 when I was simply trying to exchange it and had valid proof of purchase. Instead of offering an exchange, store credit, or any reasonable resolution, she kept the item and offered me nothing in return. What made the experience even more upsetting were the unnecessary and inappropriate personal comments she made during the interaction. I have shopped at Nordstrom for years and have spent a significant amount of money there, which makes this experience especially disappointing. After this experience, I will not be spending another dime at Nordstrom. Customer service and basic respect should not be too much to expect, especially from a long-time customer.

  I’d love to highlight Tavi for his exceptional customer service as well as his warm, friendly personality. He helped me find this beautiful suit for my upcoming photoshoot. He also gave me great styling advice and help me order proper size pants through the Nordstrom website. When I came back the following day he checked in with me, made sure I got my alterations, and processed my transaction. This was my first time shopping at Nordstrom and I had an amazing experience thanks to his expertise!

  So I dont dress flashy, im a casual wear kinda guy so is my wife we dont dress fancy unless the occasion requires, we arrived at Nordstrom to purchase a new pair of dress shoes for me and something nice for my wife as we have a formal event next month that we have to attend. We arrived at the store and walked right to the shoes, my wife going her way and me going mine. I found the exact shoe I was looking for a pair of very high gloss dress shoe's to go with my tux. I picked the pair up inspected them and then looked around for someone to help me. I see two women standing there on the other side of the table giving me odd looks, both to me looked to be employees of the store as they had the same style, attire, and look about them with name tags. I examined the shoes once again only to see the two shift their posture away from my direction as to make it look like they could not see me, let alone ask me if I needed any assistance. But made a point to ask an older gentleman who had walked over to the section well after I did. I put the shoe back and walked over to my wife in the women's section of the store to see if she had any luck finding a pair of shoes for her. She had no luck so we walked around again to see if we could find anyone to help us only to be met with 2 guys working with customers all the while the same to ladies just standing there and again observing us standing there looking. Finally after feeling like we werent wanted in the store I turned to my wife and she said let's just leave and go check out one of the other stores he had planned to visit while here. Mind you this trip was 2 hours away for us just to shop and see if we could find what we needed. One young man heard our conversation stopped what he was doing and walked over and asked if he could help us, which at this point I was on the verge of just paying for my shoes online and spending more money in the process but I didnt care. I conferred with my wife and she said to go ahead and get them. We also had him try and help my wife find what she was looking for but without effect. I've worked retail and I have always treated everyone the same, but this was the most unwelcoming store I've ever been into, and I've been in plenty of nice places and have never been looked down on like I did today.

  Went there at 8:30 last night and was going to try the new Dior Sauvage fragrance that is listed as available and in-stock according to Nordstrom’s website. First my wife and I go to the beauty section of the store thinking it will be there. They tell us they don’t have it and that it’s actually on the men’s side of the store. Ok, no problem. We go over there and mill around for about 10 minutes before we literally have to flag someone down to help us. Various people walked past us without batting an eye or caring about our presence in the store, despite us having just come from a nice dinner and being reasonably well dressed. Once we finally get their attention, they tell us they can’t help us because they don’t have the key to the glass case that the Sauvage is in. They said they “placed a call” to the other side of the store asking them for the key but said that typically the other side of the store doesn’t reply to these calls! They also said that if we weren’t comfortable with waiting for a response, we could walk ourselves over to the other side of the store and ask them for assistance. It took me a moment to really process what had just happened here. This is a Nordstrom. I’ve been going to this exact location for twenty years, or however long it’s been opened for. It has had consistently classy service and very helpful staff. What we were told was completely unacceptable. We are the customers, you are the employee. You should walk over there and ask them for assistance, and you should express some level of attentiveness or concern for your customers. This wasn’t just seem teenage clothing rack stocker who wasn’t trained on customer service, this guy appeared to have some level of expertise. He was around 35 or 40 YO wearing a Burberry polo shirt and a fedora. This complete lack of service is more suited to a TJMaxx than a Nordstrom. In fact, I bet TJMaxx’s service is actually superior this. Pathetic.
