  Always a pleasure to walk around Cabela's. Wish they would've built as big as the other ones but it is still a nice store.

  Update: As expected, the managers are definitely the problem with this specific location. How is this an appropriate response? There is no mention of training for evacuation measures (which is important when a lot of Reno is still on fire), no mention of a formal apology to the employee who was wronged, no mention of any consequences for Randy’s poor behavior in front of paying customers? This does actually matter, Cabela’s. People are currently loosing their homes in the state of Nevada. Here is the exact regurgitated response from Shaun that actually highlights how inconsiderate and irresponsible this company can be. A lot of words, without anything important being said. You indicated that you were unsatisfied with an inconsiderate responce from Randy while discussing outfitter safety during the evacuation of the local area. Sincerely, Shaun Hendrickson Assistant General Manager Cabela's Previous review: I overheard a very concerning conversation and pray that Cabela employees are really not treated this inhumanly. Randy, who I assume is a manager due to the different shirt, was talking to a concerned cashier. There was a literal fire that could see from the parking lot. Everyone was getting alerts in the area. The cashier tells Randy he had been worried for his family as he was resuming his post. Randy’s response to that was to heckle him with, “you missed all the fun” followed by, “it’s business as usual”. A store manager should absolutely have more training and tact than to respond like that to an employee who is worried about a fire near his home. Do Cabela’s higher ups care about emergencies? Do they know how to respond appropriately? Clearly Randy needs additional training, and a heavy dose of empathy. It was so vile as a customer to witness this. I will be reaching out to corporate to make sure this is NOT what they are teaching managers. Randy should be ashamed.

  Went in to purchase one item and was directed to the proper location and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Very friendly staff!

  Family fun. Great place to take the family. Also prices are fair. Have a decent collection of guns and ammo. Also a bunch items you didnt know you needed. Cool designs for new products. Must go.
