As a truck driver, I pass through this area often and have stopped at this Family Dollar more times than I can count. I was back again yesterday afternoon on my way home, and unfortunately, the level of unprofessionalism continues to be disappointing. I’ve witnessed employees yelling customers’ names over the intercom, standing outside socializing with friends while the register is left unattended, and an overall lack of professionalism that reflects poorly on the store. About a week ago, there was a new employee on what appeared to be her very first day. She was polite, friendly, smart, and eager to help customers. At one point, she needed assistance loading money onto a prepaid card because she hadn’t been trained on the process yet. She called the manager on duty for help, but the manager didn’t seem happy about having to assist her. Instead of making a new employee feel supported while she’s learning, the interaction came across as impatient and discouraging. That new employee was honestly a breath of fresh air. She had excellent customer service and showed a willingness to learn. She was the most professional person I’ve encountered at this location, and employees like her are exactly who you should be investing in. I genuinely hope management addresses these issues. This store has the potential to provide great customer service, but that starts with professionalism, accountability, and supporting employees who are trying to do a good job.

They’re my local store. I think they’re better than others. They even have a bunch of food now; no vegetables.

I had NO idea that the stories about these dollar stores taking advantage of people in certain areas were true... judge fir yourself.
