One older employee went out of her way to help us find the right size of blue jeans. A young employee nears shoes, just pointed to where I could find the discount shoe rack, twice, and didn't help at all. There were no obvious signs saying clearance or discount. We took extra time and searched ourselves.

I stopped by Bass Pro/Cabela’s to purchase a Safariland Incog holster. Before asking for help, I greeted the employee and asked how her day was going. I was met with a dismissive “What do you need?” I noticed the holster I wanted was available in both the original Safariland packaging and a clear Cabela’s bag that appeared to be a returned or repackaged item, yet both were priced the same. I politely asked if the repackaged holster could be discounted or if someone could verify the pricing. Instead of receiving help, I felt brushed off and referred to Marcus, who was unwilling to discuss it further or involve a manager. The issue was never about the discount—I was planning to buy the holster regardless. It was the lack of customer service and professionalism that was disappointing. I enjoy shopping here and will continue to do so, but this experience fell well below the level of service I expected. If management would like to discuss the situation, I’d be happy to update my review. Side note, the gun counter is awesome. Well at least 3 people there Richard and Xavier and the 2 women (: I wanted to recognize Xavier at the Bass Pro Shops gun counter for providing outstanding customer service. He took the time to answer my questions, explain the differences between several options, and helped me make an informed decision without ever being pushy or talking down to me. In an industry where customer interactions can sometimes feel intimidating, Xavier was knowledgeable, patient, and respectful throughout the entire process. He made the experience enjoyable and earned my business. Employees like him are a great reflection of the company and deserve recognition for their professionalism.

Customer Service Was Good. I finally was able to get a Nice Guy worker to find the Really expensive Shoes for a Gift. The First Two people that worked that department we're NOT interested in doing there JOB. They Both had a scripted answer. " Whatever is on the floor is All we have. The App says different and I am logged in to my account with this store showing multiple of the items. The Two young Native American Girl's in Footwear ⁴Just Blew me off. Finally a Really Great Guy showed up and went to the back stock room and found Them. Each pair was 200+ Dollars. He even helped me order something that was Online only. It's been hard shopping the store because so much stuff is Out of stock. I like to try on stuff and I like my people to try on thing's. So everything fits and feels good. THANKS To the Guy that helped me with the shoe's. I think he was the manager. He went to the back and into top stock and made it happen.

I arrived on 05-24-2026 to "PICK UP" my newest Glock for the collection per the email I received from Bass Pro Shops. Not until I arrived at the store was I notified I was not "allowed" to pick it up but instead to fill out a bunch of documents and enter a seven day waiting period which was NEVER mentioned in the email or anywhere on their website. It turns out that BPS has chosen to pander to an illegal 7 day waiting period which the 10th Circuit has ORDERED a preliminary injunction on. There are firearms stores in NM who are choosing to do the right thing, ignore the illegal and unconstitutional 7 day "cool off" period and obey the 10th's injunction as they know they should. Had I known Bass Pro Shops was not going to obey the Courts injunction, I would have shopped elsewhere. I feel like this was fully intentional just to get me to pay online and get me in the store where I would be less likely to change my mind because of how far I was in the process. This is the type of thing Social Media would have a field day with. I believe that were I to sue with this information that I would win. I will be seeking legal counsel to see how to proceed. I would have thought Cabela's would be on the side of the courts and the 2nd Amendment instead of those that would strip us of our God given rights but apparently I was wrong.
