- JBJoyce BoyleJun 14, 20261.0I am writing to share a deeply disappointing experience I had at the Nordstrom Rack in the Rockaway Mall on the morning of Saturday, June 13, 2026. While browsing for items, I felt explicitly targeted by a staff member. Despite being a paying customer, I was followed throughout the store and eventually approached by an associate who stood uncomfortably close—less than 8 inches away—while pretending to organize inventory. When I asked her if she was following me and explained that her behavior was making me uncomfortable, she simply laughed and dismissed my concerns before walking away. She identified herself as "Grace." This experience was incredibly off-putting and unprofessional. It left me feeling unwelcome and scrutinized, to the point where I genuinely debated leaving my merchandise behind and walking out. I have since learned that I am not the only customer to have had this negative experience at this specific location. As a brand, Nordstrom usually prides itself on high levels of customer service, but this interaction was the polar opposite. I will not be returning to this store, and I hope management addresses the culture and training of the staff at this location to ensure no other customers are made to feel this way.
