an absolute waste of time, I presented items from free people, lucky brand, lululemon, zara, and brandy, and only received $3 for one because of their “high inventory”. It seemed as if they hadn’t even looked through my clothes and only grabbed something they could see from the top. They seem to choose/buy stuff from their friends or just have horrible taste because, when I looked around the store, most things were ugly, stained, non-brand, or had holes in them.

Extremely disappointed with this experience. I brought in two bags of clothes, went through the process of filling out my information, and waited over an hour, only to be told that they weren’t accepting anything because the store’s inventory was too high. If that was the case, I would have really appreciated being told before I went through the entire process and waited so long.
What was even more frustrating was that it didn’t even appear that my clothes were actually looked through, as they were returned to me in the same exact condition and arrangement I had brought them in. I completely understand that stores have limits on inventory, but there should be a better way to communicate that to customers before they spend an hour waiting.
Overall, this was a huge waste of my time and a very frustrating experience.

Every time I visit this Plato’s Closet location, the store is always clean, organized, and easy to shop. The clothes are easy to flip through on the racks, and I’m always greeted as soon as I come in.
I usually visit this location to sell clothes and will shop while they go through my items. The wait times have always been pretty reasonable for me—usually around 30 minutes on average. If you’re local, you can also drop your items off and come back anytime before they close, which is really convenient. You can run some errands, grab something to eat, or do some shopping and come back when they’re finished.
Any questions I’ve had about what they’re buying or how the process works have always been answered thoroughly. I even had to call the store once with some questions, and the employee I spoke with was an absolute gem.
I really appreciate how transparent this location has been about what they’re currently looking for and how willing the employees are to answer questions. Thanks, Plato’s Closet Princeton, for making the selling process easy and straightforward!

I was very disappointed with my experience at Plato's Closet in Princeton. I brought in two full reusable bags of gently used, name-brand clothing and accessories, but only five items were accepted for a total of $17. The accepted items included a Kate Spade wallet, a like-new Lululemon skort, and a Tory Burch bag. Since I had originally paid over $200 for the Tory Burch bag, I decided to keep it, which reduced my offer to just $13 for the remaining four items.
I was also surprised that they declined several items that were in good condition, including Abercrombie pants and brand-new two-piece sets with tags. While I understand that buyback decisions are based on inventory and demand, I felt the offer did not fairly reflect the quality and value of the items I brought in.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend selling here if you're expecting reasonable compensation for higher-end or new-condition clothing and accessories.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT THIS STORE!!! I was age discriminated!! After my purchase I was told “have a good day next time don’t come in with an attitude” I said excuse me what’s your name and the response was “I have no name” so I turned to the guy and said what’s her name and he said I’m not giving it to you. This was over a balance of 2 CENTS. I said I thought we did away with Pennie’s” then the gentleman yelled “LEAVE… leave the store” and called me YOUR AN OLD LADY he HIGHLY DISCRIMINATED ME In front of all the customers i was appalled by the Customer service. I will never be back at this store!!! Been to Plato’s in Edison and Middletown. Nothing compares to them. And this was my first time in that location.
