  The best customer service experience I’ve had anywhere in a LONG time! Yerielis was so helpful and kind during check-out. She helped us use our points in the best way to get the best deal, and she was so outgoing and thoughtful. I usually don’t write reviews anywhere, but this was really great!

  I’m writing to share a concerning experience I recently had at Plato’s Closet involving the owner, Michelle. During our conversation, I questioned the pricing of certain items, and Michelle explained that some items are sold for approximately the same price they were originally purchased for and that the store’s software determines the pricing, rather than items necessarily being priced at roughly one-third of retail value. What concerned me even more was the direction the conversation took afterward. Michelle made comments about women that I found deeply inappropriate coming from a business owner. When the topic of women in government came up, she stated that there are already plenty of women in government and that “we don’t need more.” Regardless of anyone’s personal views, I found these comments especially uncomfortable and unnecessary in a retail interaction. It also left me questioning the culture of the business and why there appears to be difficulty retaining staff. Between the pricing explanation and the comments I personally heard, I left with a very negative impression of the store. I will not be supporting this location going forward and wanted to make my experience known.

  My kids and I have been to this location on many occasions. It has always been a great experience. The music always had many different genres, the staff was diverse and nice and helpful. But now only Hispanic music, all Hispanic staff. And they stared at us with no smiles. As if we had two heads. The prices are higher and a lot of the clothes had stains. It felt as if they had a problem with us being there. Felt very unwelcome. Needless to say we won’t be returning.
