  Dear Sunglass Hut Management, I am writing to formally complain about an issue with a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses I recently purchased from your Sunglass Hut location at Newport Center. Approximately 10 days ago, I purchased Ray-Ban sunglasses with Transition lenses. At the time of purchase, I clearly explained to the associate, Ashley, that I was sending the glasses to Pakistan as a gift for a friend and specifically requested the Transition lenses I had described to her. When the glasses were prepared, Ashley gave me a sealed, box-packed pair and told me that they were the exact glasses and lenses I had requested. I asked her if I could open the box and check them before sending them overseas, but she told me that the box was sealed and assured me that these were exactly the glasses I had requested. I trusted her and therefore sent the sealed package to my friend in Pakistan. After my friend received and opened the package, I discovered that the lenses were black/dark lenses and not the Transition lenses that I specifically requested. I recently returned to the store to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, instead of receiving a proper resolution, I was told that the lady I originally dealt with is a supervisor and that she would handle the matter. I was also told that the person assisting me did not have any information regarding what could be done. This was extremely frustrating because I had already spent my time coming back to the store, I was given incorrect information at the time of purchase, and I now have a product that does not match what I specifically requested. I understand that mistakes can happen, but in this situation I relied on the associate's assurance that the sealed package contained the exact product I had ordered. Had I been allowed to verify the glasses before leaving the store, I could have identified the issue immediately. I am therefore requesting a fair resolution. Ideally, I would like either: A full refund, or A replacement with the correct Ray-Ban Transition sunglasses at no additional cost, or If a replacement is not possible, appropriate compensation for the incorrect product and inconvenience caused. I would appreciate it if a manager could review the transaction and speak with me directly to resolve this matter. I am not looking to create an unnecessary problem; I simply want the issue to be acknowledged and corrected fairly. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response and a reasonable resolution.

  Ashley, the salesperson, was very helpful in choosing my Ray Ban sunglasses! I chose two different types of sunglasses. The store was having a BOGO offer where the lesser value was 40% off! Again, very helpful, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Thank you!

  This is hands down the worst store experience I have ever had. I came in to process a final-day return for Meta Glasses and was having a completely polite, normal conversation with the employee at the register. Out of nowhere, another employee barged over, stood right in front of me, and aggressively demanded I leave because of an "event." There was no sign on the door, no update on Google, and no indication whatsoever that the store was unavailable to regular customers. When I tried to explain my situation, she refused to let me speak, continuously interrupted, and literally pushed me out of the store. Her behavior was incredibly rude, hostile, and discriminatory. Pushing a customer out the door for trying to ask a question is completely unacceptable. Do not waste your time or money at this location—they treat customers with zero respect.

  Ashley gave us excellent service and I’m very happy with my purchase. She was the sweetest person ever and helped us so much. I love her!
