I had a wonderful time shopping in this store! The associates Jenna, Andrea & Sienna were so kind and sweet. If you stop by in store and see these girls, you’re in good hands. ❤️

I don’t usually do reviews but I do have to give a quick shout out to Greg or Craig (I’m not 100% sure of his name) I believe he’s the sales manager and the American Eagle associates. I’ve come in a couple times and orders a lot online through the website for my son who’s going off the college and has a really hard time with jeans and even sweatpants. He has come up to us everytime and asked us what we needed. We ended up going with airflex athletic and even men’s sweatpants but had to order in a long length. It seems, at least the couple times I’ve come in, keeps his associates happy but under a good control, he got busy a bit so passed us along to a young nice lady who helped my son and I in the mean time. He told us about the remodel they are getting and the new product coming in so we are excited to see what they have and can send my son when he goes off to college in a week or two!

FOR ACCOUNTABILITY: This Aerie visit took place on August 16, 2026, at the Freehold Raceway Mall location. We went to Freehold Raceway Mall specifically because my 14-year-old niece loves Hollister. Hollister was such a retail wasteland that we quickly abandoned ship and wandered into Aerie a couple of stores away. And initially, Aerie looked promising. Well stocked, plenty of merchandise, organized, lots to choose from. After Hollister, frankly, it felt like we had crossed into the promised land. My niece is not picky—she is extremely selective. She does not buy something simply because it exists. So when she actually found a lightweight striped sweater she liked, I nearly declared a national holiday. There was only one problem: every sweater on the floor was an XL, and she needed an XXS. Then I saw the exact sweater, in the exact size, on one of the forms. Problem solved, right? Apparently not. I approached an associate and very politely explained that we wanted to purchase the sweater from the form. Not try it on. Not borrow it. Not ask them to dismantle the store. Purchase it. With money. At a retail establishment. Before the associate could really even answer, a young woman sitting nearby—who I can only assume was some sort of manager or assistant manager—interjected that they “don’t take anything off the mannequin.” Okay. Thank God someone is looking out for the mannequin. I have spent most of my professional life in retail, and I genuinely found this fascinating. You have a customer standing in front of you ready to purchase an item you no longer have available on the floor, and the answer is simply no because the merchandising form is wearing it? It wasn’t the Crown Jewels. It was a sweater. Take it off. Make the sale. Put another color on the form. Style something else. Roll up a sleeve. Retail will somehow find the strength to carry on. Instead, we were apparently willing to lose an actual customer in order to protect the integrity of a sweater presentation. Hopefully Aerie remains so wildly profitable that turning away willing customers continues to be part of the business model. I was honestly ready to leave, but since Hollister had already failed us, we continued toward the back of the store to look at some support bras for my niece. And thank God we did, because that is where we found Mehraal. Absolute salvation. She was lovely, professional, kind, completely nonjudgmental, and genuinely interested in helping my niece. She made her feel comfortable, answered questions, helped us find what we needed and, most importantly, behaved like someone who actually understood that customer service involves…customers. What a concept. So Aerie Freehold gets two stars from me. But let me explain the math: One star because the store actually had merchandise. The second star is entirely because Mehraal works there. Mehraal personally gets five stars. She is quite literally the reason this review did not end at one. Aerie, I would strongly suggest taking a look at who you have client-facing and perhaps reminding the team that the merchandise on the forms is ultimately there to help sell merchandise—not to become emotionally attached to it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had such a wonderful experience shopping at American Eagle thanks to Isabella, who went above and beyond to help me. She took the time to listen to exactly what I was looking for and helped me find jeans online that weren’t available in the store. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating to my preferences throughout the entire process. What stood out most was her willingness to solve any issues that came up and make sure I found the perfect pair. Her communication was excellent, and she made me feel valued as a customer from start to finish. On top of that, she was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which made the shopping experience even more enjoyable.

Bought a dress , retuned the next day because I did not like the fit. I had the original receipt and the credit card it’s was purchased with. They would not process the refund without a phone number and email which is ridiculous. I don’t belong to any of their programs that would require that information so was unnecessary
