  Dear DSW Customer Service, I am writing to submit a complaint regarding a very frustrating experience I had while trying to purchase a pair of shoes at your store. At first, I was given the wrong size. After trying the shoes on, the employees were able to locate my correct size, but when I went to pay, the pair again turned out to be an uneven/mismatched size, which was very strange. I was then told that I would need to order the shoes. The ordering process became extremely frustrating. The employees attempted to process the order several times—approximately six attempts—and I was asked to enter my credit card twice. Both times, the card terminal showed that the transaction was approved, but the employees said their system was not showing the transaction as completed and they were unable to print a receipt. At that moment, I was also unable to check my bank account to confirm whether I had been charged. I was then told there was a possibility that the transaction had gone through, which left me concerned that I could potentially be charged more than once. After approximately an hour of trying to complete this purchase, an employee finally told me that their system was not working and that I would have to place the order on my own. I find this extremely disappointing. I spent approximately an hour in the store, entered my card information multiple times, was left uncertain about whether I had been charged, and ultimately left without the employees being able to complete my purchase. This was literally my go to shoe store and i literally feel like i was scammed very disapointed also customer service needs improvement these kids do not know what they’re doing.

  Be careful for the discounts, doesn’t apply to like 95% of the store but the staff won’t say anything until you get to the register.

  So I came some days ago to buy some shoes for my cousin and I was about to pay, when this lady who im guessing is the manager (I saw her name tag and it said Anait) was literally SCREAMING and trying to humiliate the employee attending me. It made me feel so awkward because the employee was actually performing the transaction correctly. I did not know what to do at all. The employee was super nice and patient with me but this whole manager thing was hard to watch and honestly just stressed me out. I felt nothing but empathy for the employee attending me, and it’s embarrassing to see managers treating their workers like this. My cashier was not even doing anything wrong, but the manager felt the need to nitpick everything she did. Managers, please do better !!!!

  I've come to this location twice and my first experience is the only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1. My first experience was so pleasant, but yesterday's was horrendous enough to make me not want to return. Just before 4pm, as my friend and I were ready to check out a pair of shoes, I was next in line and both cashiers (a man with chin length curly hair and a woman with long black straight hair) just abandoned the cash wrap and went off to do something else. Unsure of where the man went, but the woman and I made eye contact twice as she was fixing something 20 feet away. I was visibly waiting to be checked out, as I was at the front of the line. She neglected to ask me if I need help. Instead, another customer asked if she worked there, and the employee went off to help her instead. I left the shoes on the counter and just walked out. My question: If you see me on line, why are you BOTH leaving?? One of them had just finished ringing someone else up while I was standing there, shoebox in hand.
