I can’t say enough about Jamie, the store manager who went above and beyond in helping me try to find a pair of pool slides that fit my small flat foot. 😆 Nina and Emma were also awesome at the register and provided exceptional customer service through their kindness and welcoming manner. The weather in New Jersey that day was literally like a hurricane. As I was leaving the store, it started pouring and coming down in buckets so I stayed inside for extra time and we all started chatting and it almost felt like we all became a little family.Thank you for turning the rain outside into sunshine inside the store! I hope you all made it home safely that evening.

With a sports shoe that I didn’t know how to lace a kind associate took the time to show me how the hooks worked. The compassion and kindness that was shown really uplifted my experience.

Companies like DSW try to coerce you into signing up your phone/email because they make money off selling your consumer data to advertising agencies (as if they don't make enough off shoes that last maybe a year vs. my childhood shoes that would last 3yrs). They mistreat their workers, threatening to fire them if they don't get enough phone number sign-ups/utilization. The workers are forced into an impossible situation where they are the ones trying to implement the corporation's manipulation and abuse of the customer. It's degrading and disgusting to treat workers and customers like this and it's the fault of the people up top. The lovely young lady working at our register asked nicely 3x if we wanted to sign-up with a phone number for 15% off the entire purchase. When we refused, you could see she was stressed. She had to walkie to her manager that we didn't use our phone number at checkout. That is abuse, plain and simple. It's disgusting how these corporations treat people.
