  Kind staff, selection was limited. They only had one of the three things I went in for. Two people offered to order from the website for me. Nice, but I wanted the items then, or I would have stayed home and ordered them myself.

  Today (6/12/26) I went to the West Lebanon, NH store to return a shirt l received as a gift from my mother, who lives in another state. I have been doing this for years, as recently as this past January, and the sales clerk has always asked for the zip code where the item was purchased, verifies the purchase, and issues me a store credit which 9 times out of 10 l use toward a more expensive item. Easy peasy. But today when l tried to return a shirt with all the tags still on it, a very rude man asked me if l had a receipt. I said no, it was a gift. He then said that I had to have a receipt. l asked him if this was a new policy and he said no. ( News to me......) He then told me that if l didn't have a receipt l would have to accept a lower price if the item has been marked down. Fine with me. His manner was very rude, as if he thought l was running a scam. But then he said " I'll need to see your driver's license " which was in my car, but by that point I was so fed up l told him to never mind and l left with a shirt that I will never wear. Thanks for nothing LL Bean! You have lost a customer.

  Great Llbean, service is al days.excellent. Especially Dwayne , he is fast , knowledgeable and friendly. Store is always well stocked and clean .
