  This place sucks. I used to bring stuff to the MA location all the time and get rid of a lot of stuff for a decent amount of money. Now, I go with objectively better, nicer clothes than anything they ever have on the racks, like barely worn urban outfitters, pac sun, brandy Melville, etc. and I just get fed the same recycled script from another employee who looks like they’re dead inside and like customer presence is an inconvenience to them. Interacting with their employees is genuinely unpleasant and uncomfortable. I’ll just donate my clothes from now on.

  This was my first time selling with Plato’s Closet, and unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the experience. I dropped off three full trash bags of clothing at 10:00 AM. Shortly after leaving Plato’s I received a text at 10:18AM saying my clothes were ready for pickup. Considering the amount of clothing I brought in—and the number of people already waiting in line before the store even opened—I found that incredibly surprising. When I returned, it was apparent to me that they had only ripped opened one of the three bags and ultimately decided to take zero items. Among the items they chose not to accept were lightly used American Eagle jeans, Lee jeans with the tags still attached, gorgeous Old Navy sundresses that had only been worn once, an L.L.Bean rain jacket in mint condition, Sperry winter boots, and a brand-new-looking white Forever 21 dress, along with many other name-brand clothing items and shoes. I genuinely don't understand how some of these items could be considered too worn, outdated, or unfashionable to resell. If only one of the three bags was actually looked through, and I only say this because many items were still folded in the un-opened bags, it also makes me question how carefully the clothing was evaluated—especially considering there were only two employees handling the large number of customers bringing in clothes today. Unfortunately, the entire experience left me feeling as though the selection process was based more on appearance and perceived age than on the actual condition of the clothing. I understand that not every item will be accepted, but I expected a much more thorough evaluation, especially given the amount of clothing I brought in and the condition of many of the pieces. Very disappointing and, in my opinion, not worth the time or effort. Sadly I won’t be recommending this place to anyone again.

  Prices could be better for this day in age Like I get “thrifting” is the “new trend” But second hand was made to be affordable for everyone not just the rich and white But overall this places is really AWESOME definitely care what they keep in inventory Minus a couple of sketchy people trying to sell used “good” clothes Would highly recommend! I have been coming to Plato’s closet forever since I was a kid with my grandma

  I’ve been to all of the surrounding stores and this Manchester location is by far the most organized and easy to shop! 10/10 recommend!! Will be coming back
