My recent experience at this location was shocking. My first complaint was with the kiosk they have for printing out temporary shopping passes. The associates here need to be trained to inform customers that they must check out at the customer service line. Instead, they say nothing. So after I gathered my items I stood in line at the regular check out. Now, it was a holiday weekend, so the lines were backed up. I waited about 5-10 minutes in line. Once I got up and all my items were scanned, I was told that I could not check out here. The cashier printed out my suspended receipt and brought me over to an empty register at the customer service desk. There was already a line at customer service, however I assumed I would be helped next due to already waiting in line at checkout. This was not the case, after waiting another 10 minutes for 1 (out of the 2) service agents to free up from their customer, another customer walks right up and begins talking. Now instead of informing the customer that they have another person waiting (for a very quick transaction) the agent begins helping the customer. Now I thought I was going to have to wait another 10 minutes. 25 total. To check out. So I walked up to the checkout and asked for a manager. My first interaction was with a Manager/Supervisor (not sure the name, or the department) and I told him I wanted to speak with whomever is in charge of the front end. He eventually passed me off to a man I see all the time in the store. (Maybe the ASM? Maybe the front end leader? I’m not sure) I start explaining my situation, and inform him that my disappointment is fueled by the other store associates I observed while walking around not actively doing anything. He immediately started making excuses, that he had 4 or so callouts, that they’ve been calling “code _” for back up. I told him I did not need excuses, and that none of your associates on the floor are coming up to help the front. It’s a holiday weekend, prepare better, do better. I’ve worked retail, i’ve lead retail. I didn’t say it at the time because who cares, but I understand how to run front end. Not like this. Anyways the manager begins attempting my transaction, however he’s clearly confused on how to let a customer use a temporary shopping pass. I have to type in my card number 4 times before he finally figures it out. I saw the notification on my phone for a charge before he even said it worked. He was able to print me a receipt when I noticed that he charged me an additional $60.~~ for a gift card??? He was confused on why that happened and was acting like it was a free thing. Instead of helping me understand at the line, I walked away and did the math on my receipt to realize that no, I was just charged for a gift card I did not want. I had to wait, again, for this manager to free up from the customer he took while I stood aside. He was able to refund the gift card. Overall terrible experience, bad planning from a store that knows it will be busy on a holiday weekend, bad coaching and training of both your credit card desk employees and the manager, bad customer service from your manager (he was nice, however just made excuses for everything. Clearly can’t admit fault). Wasted probably 45 minutes for a transaction that could’ve been 10-15 minutes if I was told that I had to go to customer service from
the start. Do better.

I always like visiting this store. I had the pleasure of collaborating with Chris T today for a pair of sunglasses. He was very kind, gracious and knowledgeable. I am very appreciative.
