  My issue with SCHEELS is not that a policy change resulted in my in-store order being canceled. I understand policies change, and I have no problem with that decision. My issue is how a manager named Brett treated me. During our conversation, he called me a fraud, accused me of making fraudulent purchases, and told me I was banned and unwelcome to do business with any SCHEELS location in the future. Those are serious accusations. Canceling an order because of a policy change is one thing. Accusing a customer of fraud and telling them they are permanently unwelcome across the entire company deserves a clear explanation and review by corporate leadership. I am asking SCHEELS corporate management to review this interaction, explain the basis for these accusations, and clarify whether Brett’s statements reflect the company’s official position. I would appreciate a direct response and an opportunity to resolve this professionally.

  This particular Scheel's is unlike any other sporting goods store. There are arcade games, miniature bowling, a fully operational Ferris Wheel that you can ride. There is even a smokehouse in the back on the first floor. Staff here is exceptionally nice, asking how you are doing as you pass them by. This particular Scheel's has two floors, so you are guaranteed to find what you are looking for no matter what it is.

  I called Fargo Scheels on behalf of my brother as he was at work on the farm. I asked about 6mm ARC rifles. Turns out they had one, the associate asked if I wanted them to hold it, to which I happily said yes. So my brother and I went there the next day. I told him I would buy the Vortex scope because I get the LEO/Vet discount. My brother went to the firearms customer support desk to start the paperwork for the rifle and I went to get the scope. The crappy experience started when the Sales associate Brandon C. took his customer to the front of the line to do his gun deal while I and another person had been waiting in line. I was waiting to pay for the scope. The guys attitude and vernacular was an arrogant overconfident one. After paying for the scope, my brother finished his background check and was getting ready to check out. Brandon, asked who I was. I, of course said Aaron. He then questioned me and my brother on who the rifle was for. Again I said I put it on hold last night for my brother. He then asked well why am I buying the scope for him. Then tried to lecture me on the law/ATF blah blah blah. All of this is without tact or any tone of respect and people are waiting in line. I also bought him socks. What business is it of yours. Anyway, the guy is a number of words some use to describe Napoleon. Disrespectful and full of himself. Bought my last item there after decades of shopping with Scheels. Instead of a sorry that was my experience reply, just fix the problem. Two stars because the gal running the till upstairs was awesome.

  This is a must see stop if you are going through or visiting Fargo N. Dakota. There is a 26' ferris wheel, stuffed animals from around the world. A full size Buffalo, deer, cougar etc plus many many deer heads with mammoth racks. There are plenty of clothing items from head to toe. Sunglasses to health monitor rings. Food/snack items. Plenty of parking and handicap access. And an escalator up to the second floor or take the stairs. The gun display and ammo is massive where if you can't find it you don't need it. Plus knives and bows

  I have been a Scheels customer for nearly 40 years, but after this experience, I will never shop there again. My girlfriend ordered an Insta360 X6 action camera online as a gift for me. The camera cost approximately $800. When the package arrived via SpeeDee Delivery, the exterior box appeared normal and was sealed with Scheels-branded tape. Inside was the Insta360 box, which had a small dent and appeared to have its security seals intact. After opening it, I discovered there was no camera inside. Instead, the box contained a selfie stick and several bottles of nail polish. Yes, nail polish. Upon closer inspection, three of the four security seals appeared to have been peeled up and reapplied, with visible bubbles and wrinkles underneath. Whatever happened and wherever it happened, the package delivered to us did not contain the product we paid for. I immediately contacted Scheels customer service. Rather than apologizing and working to resolve the issue, I was told they needed to investigate with the warehouse. They would not send a replacement or issue a refund. I was told that if I did not want to wait, I could dispute the charge with the bank. I asked for a supervisor and eventually spoke with Joe. His response was essentially the same: wait for the investigation or dispute the charge. When I explained that I could not dispute the charge because my girlfriend had purchased the gift on her card, he sarcastically pointed out that I could wait until she woke up. When she called later, Joe reportedly said that because the warehouse receives products directly from the manufacturer, there was essentially no way the package could have been tampered with. That conclusion made no sense. I was literally standing there with a tampered package containing nail polish instead of an $800 camera. I do not know where the problem occurred—inside the warehouse, during fulfillment, or during shipping. Scheels should investigate that. But as the customer, I should not have to prove that I did not receive the product I paid for. *** What I do know is that Scheels accepted approximately $800 for a camera and delivered something entirely different. *** Mistakes and theft can happen. What lost Scheels my business was its response: no apology, no immediate effort to make things right, and no willingness to take responsibility for resolving the issue. A quick “investigation” and it’s not their problem. Just a “tough luck buddy” to the customer and they wipe their hands clean. I grew up in Moorhead, Minnesota and have been shopping at Scheels since I was a kid. I remember buying my first skateboard at the Moorhead Scherls in 1987. After nearly four decades of loyalty, I never expected to be treated this way. Disappointed would be an understatement.
