  As a loyal, long-term DSW customer, I was extremely disappointed to learn that your store has closed its restrooms to the public. More troubling was being told, when I asked to use the restroom, that I should go to Old Navy next door. As a business owner myself, I find this practice particularly concerning. Old Navy provides and maintains its restrooms as a service to its OWN customers. It is presumptuous for DSW to direct its customers to a neighboring retailer and expect that business to accommodate them. Access to a restroom is a basic component of the customer experience, particularly in a retail environment where customers may spend considerable time shopping. If DSW has made the decision not to provide restroom access, that is certainly its prerogative; however, directing customers to another business for a basic customer amenity is not an appropriate solution. I was so disappointed by this experience that I left the store without further shopping. After many years as a loyal customer, I felt compelled to let you know that this policy negatively impacted my perception of DSW. I hope DSW will reconsider this policy and recognize that seemingly small decisions like this can have a significant impact on customer loyalty and the overall shopping experience.

  Whatever happened to comfortable dress shoes for fallen arches, wide, bunions.... quality slides, Maryjanes, boc, danskos....? Rows and rows of formal sandals skinny foot.. That will be worn once! Pathetic the options that are available at local stores!
