  KH Kites is a top tier kiteboarding gear and lessons shop. As a newbie to the sport, Instructor Hayden was able to see my current skill level and tailor my 2 days of lessons to get me a LOT further into the sport than when I arrived. Went from no water starts to now learning/practicing independently and soon upwinding, I hope!! Steph runs a tight shop, is extremely pleasant and shares her time and knowledge freely! They honor vets with a discount so that's just icing on an already awesome cake! It's not the flashiest shop on the island but the vibe is chill and welcoming for all! Cheers, Tom H, Charleston SC

  Kitty Hawk Kites is the leader in kites, whether you're a beginner or an expert. Adam, the manager at the Rodanthe, NC KHK store, knows more about kites than I've met. He's the best!!

  How could I drive 1500 miles to the Outer Banks and forget to bring a kite? Kitty Hawk Kites to the rescue... I visited this location while driving down to Hatteras Island. The guy in the store was friendly and helped me pick out a kite for the rest of my vacation. I enjoyed flying it on the beach at Hatteras Island as well as on the beach at Nag's Head. A couple of my other kites were purchased online from Kitty Hawk Kites, but visiting the store on my trip was extra fun. I will stop in on my next visit to the Outer Banks.
