  I had a rather large online purchase, with only a couple items to be picked up at this store. 1) Upon entry the store employee asked me "are you door dash?". No, hello to you too . 2) Ok, now the employee begins to gather my order then stop to ring up others who came up after me. 3) I asked him to please focus on my order first.. However, he persisted with this behavior pattern & it was accompanied by a "devilish" wry smirk, grin, &/or sly smile (which revealed his rotten brown teeth). Therefore, I asked for a refund on the entire order instead.. I pulled up the digital barcode, he grabbed his scanner but then suddenly pulled the scanner back, refusing to scan the bar code lol. He was refusing to give me a refund, & suggested that i can even call the police if i have to lol. I asked for a manager, he said "i am the manager". Of course lmao. So yeah, i called DSW's 1-800 number to complain, & i got a refund at a different store location. Thanks DSW. Smdh.

  It was the first day for the young lady at the register, and my transaction was not an easy one. I was purchasing a pair of shoes in the store, arranging for a second pair to be shipped, and also needed to update my address. She asked the manager for help, and I was very impressed with the way he handled the situation. He was patient, professional, and supportive throughout the process. There were no signs of frustration or impatience, even though the transaction was complicated and took extra time. I regret not telling him in person how much I appreciated his help, but the line behind me was growing and I didn’t want to take up any more of his time. Great customer service deserves recognition, and I wanted to acknowledge the positive impression he made.

  BOGOut of this store. My wife and I stopped in to get our granddaughter a pair of Burkenstocks. "Spelling could be incorrect". Anyway wanted to take advantage of the BOGO deal, so we grabbed 2 pair. Found out that the 2nd pair could not be the same brand. So we grabbed a cheap pair of Nikes. This we were told 2nd pair could not be brand name and had to be less than a 3rd of the co-sin of the sum of the 1st pairs total. I didn't have my scientific calculator with me so we tucked tail and left the store. Maybe my older age(mid 50's) or the hot muggy day affected my common sense. Confused and disgruntled. Have always enjoyed the DSW.
