I was informed by a salesperson that the store no longer carries the Women’s Plus Size collection because they “don’t have room” for it. For a major department store to remove an entire category of clothing for women who wear plus sizes is frustrating and exclusionary. Many women rely on Belk for professional and everyday clothing, and eliminating plus size options at this location sends the message that those customers are not a priority. If space is the issue, there should be a better solution than completely removing an entire group of shoppers from the in-store experience. I hope store leadership reconsiders this decision. Women of all sizes deserve to be able to shop in-store like everyone else, not be pushed to online-only options.
