  We visited from out of town and received excellent service on the floor from Tay. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. Unfortunately, the checkout experience was disappointing. A group of employees was congregating and chatting in the women's department, leaving my husband and me waiting at an empty register for about four minutes. They clearly saw us waiting but ignored us. Tay ultimately had to leave the floor to come check us out himself. He deserves recognition for his great attitude, but management needs to address the lack of teamwork and customer awareness from the rest of the staff.

  Today’s experience at American Eagle was very disappointing. From the moment I walked into the store, I felt like I was being watched and judged as if I were going to steal something. The employee working in the fitting room area—a tall woman wearing a white shirt and black shorts—made me feel extremely uncomfortable during my visit. I had five items to try on, and I understand the fitting room policy allows only four items at a time. My boyfriend was with me, and I simply gave him the fifth item so I could comply with the policy. Despite this, the employee immediately questioned me and counted my items to make sure I wasn’t taking five items into the fitting room. Later, when my boyfriend tried to hand me a pair of jeans, she told us that wasn’t allowed and that I would need to get back in line. She then continued discussing the situation over her radio with coworkers while staring at me throughout my shopping experience. I understand that employees have policies to enforce, but the way this situation was handled made me feel singled out, unwelcome, and uncomfortable. Customers should be treated with respect and professionalism, not made to feel as though they are under suspicion while trying to shop. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this store.
