  I am giving 4 stars due to the overall recovery of the awful encounter we had with Captain Rusty. He gets a below ZERO star. Our expereince was appalling. We specifically booked this trip because of Captain Rusty's bio, but his behavior was the complete opposite of what was advertised. He was abrasive, dismissive, and shockingly unprofessional from the moment the issue arose. Captain Rusty flately told us our trip was cancelled, after a resvervation error on their part. There was no attempt to communicate , resolve the situation, or trreat us with even basic courtesy . It was one of the most direspectful customer expereinces we have expereienced. Even members of the staff acklowledged how difficult he is to work with and expressed frustration over his behavior. The bright spot was the reservation manager, who handled the situation exceptionally well. They immediatly apologized, promptly refunded our trip and arranged complimentary e-surf reservations at Kitty Hawk in Rodanthe. The team there was professional, welcoming, and completely turned our day around. The kitty hawk staff completly contrasted with Captain Rusty's conduct.

  We went parasailing on June 30 & had the absolute best experience! Olivia at the booth was so friendly and accommodating. Jackson on board was so personable & hilarious! Captain Rusty is a true pro and made the experience so fun. We did the photo & video add on- best decision! (The audio just didnt work on the video but thats okay!) 10/10 recommend! Everyone should parasail!

  Great experience for me and my family of four (two teenage daughters). Rusty and Jackson did a great job and kept us entertained when we weren't flying. It was great!

  I would use Kitty Hawk Kites again for my kayak rental and/or tour. I saved the online booking fee by calling them - which also helped answer a few of my questions. I chose the Roanoke Island tour because of its uniqueness. Our tour guide, Trey, is very knowledgeable about our surroundings and pointed out things I would have missed had I only rented a kayak and gone alone. He's also highly skilled helping people get in and out of the kayak at the dock which is sometimes the most challenging part of my kayak adventures! Kayaking with an experienced guide for 2 hours was worth it and I highly recommend it with Kitty Hawk Kites.

  From parasailing, to dolphin watching, and a gorgeous sunset view the team at Kotty Hawk Kites really know what they're doing. They care for their guests and try to get them the best experience they can no matter the activity.
