  I usually love this store. I live just 5 mins away, so it's nearby and I find the occasional great deal. The store is usually clean and the staff are friendly. It's where I go to 1st when I need a new pair of shoes. So I went there tonight to see if I could find a pair of ASICS that were comfy or another pair of tennis shoes that would work for a lot of walking in an upcoming trip. Imagine my surprise when I go to try on a pair and notice that there are now 3 sensors on each pair of shoes that prevent you from trying them on correctly. The left shoe had one sensor, and it was looped to the right shoe, so you couldn't even try them on together. The right shoe had yet another sensor on the right side of the shoe, so you had 2 sensors on just that one shoe, making it impossible to actually try the right shoe on since there was no way to get your foot into the shoe without it rubbing your ankle bones painfully (if you could even get your foot inside). I tried on a left shoe at one point and wanted to see how it felt to walk in it, only to nearly faceplant when the right shoe flopping beside it nearly took my right foot out. I ended up spending double the time trying on shoes as I'd normally spend simply because it was cumbersome to even try on a single shoe while maneuvering the sensor so you could get your foot inside. I get loss prevention is a problem in all retail. But this is Nordstrom Rack. I expect this of Burlington Coat Factory, not a higher-end store in a well-to-do area. Even the local TJ Maxx, Marshall's and Ross don't tie shoes together with sensors and they're more prone to theft than Nordstrom Rack. I ended up abandoning my shopping trip when I saw that Rack Room Shoes across the street has the identical shoes I was interested in for the same exact price without the hassle of not being able to try on a complete pair of shoes. Do better Nordstrom! Don't punish the majority of your customers for a handful of bad apples. This new sensor issue (because this wasn't the case just 3 weeks ago) is a topic on Reddit now, so your customers are taking notice, and not in a positive way. And no, we can't just go find an associate to remove the sensors. Do you know how many people were working the entire sales floor tonight (or how many were visible)? ONE! Oh, and you've now removed the plus size clearance racks in the women's section, so while the regular sizes have multiple clearance racks, now there's no designated one for plus size and no one wants to search through a dozen racks for that one plus size item that you may have thrown in.

  Terrible experience with management Angela. Management was not willing to match price of 2 of the same exact item with the same original price and same exact clearnance price listed on item. The only difference of the item was color. Doesn’t make any sense at all. Customer satisfaction was definitely not delivered . I will not shop here ever again.
