The guys in the loading dock are so sweet and helpful. They went above and beyond to help me with a large piece of furniture. Will be back!

Just visited this location with my girlfriend, when we walked in, we found a lamp and a watch that we liked, during that time, me and my girlfriend (especially her) were being stared down at by two goodwill employees, the entire time. Once my girlfriend walked away from me, one of them approached me and said let me take that watch and put a price on it for you, I said “no its all good, i’ll ask the front desk” (since I wasn’t comfortable that they were staring at us). He ended up getting the watch and taking it to the back, where after a long while, (I thought I wasn’t going to get it back), they came out and said that it belonged in vintage and put a $60 sticker on it. I then wasn’t allowed to continue shopping unless I paid for it. The employee wouldn’t give me the watch unless I went and paid for it. They both continued to stare at us from that point all the way out into the parking lot where one of them was pointing at us.
The other two employees that we talked to at that store were very very nice and chill. It was only those two that made me (a 200lb 6’ 2” man) feel unsafe and cautious.
I’m not sure why this Goodwill only has 3.9 stars. I really like this location- it is clean (especially compared to some other locations), and on most of my visits I’m able to find good items. I also like how the donation drop off is set up.
The only negatives are that some of the items are overpriced (but that’s true of all the locations.) And I wish they would organize the clothing by size instead of color- but again, all the Goodwills I’ve been to in the Charlotte area also do that.
But overall, I always enjoy visiting this location- I personally think it is in the top 5 of Goodwills I’ve been to (in the Charlotte/Fort Mill/Gastonia/Belmont areas.) 💙
DO NOT donate any art supplies to this store, especially if you want them to end up in kids hands unharmed, or end up there at all. Went to donate a full box of pencils and markers for kids in the area, and the (very rude, I understand if he was tired but don’t take it out on someone who just wants to donate and help) worker with curly hair just turned the (organized) box upside down into a bin of CLOTHES and dumped them out into the bin. A bunch ended up broken, and falling on the floor around him and he just walked away. Will be finding another goodwill to donate items to from now on.
