I had one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I have ever encountered at a retail store. I was shopping with a group of athletes when, without warning, an assistant manager and another staff member began loudly yelling across the store, threatening to call the police and demanding that for my athletes to leave. At first, I didn't even realize they were speaking to us because there had been absolutely no prior conversation with me or any member of my group. When I asked what the issue was, I was told that my athletes had been throwing balls in the aisle. I then asked a simple question: "Who did you actually speak to?" so that I coud address those athletes - I do not play with my athletes about their behavior in public. The assistant manager could not identify a single athlete from my group whom she had directly spoken to. Her explanation was that she had made eye contact with "one of them". One of my athletes confirmed that they had indeed made eye contact while they were standing together in the aisle, but no words were exchanged with them directly. Rather than approaching the situation professionally, the asst. manager escalated it by shouting across multiple aisles at my athletes, bringing over another employee and a manager, and treating us as though we were creating a disturbance, when there was none. At no point was there a conversation with any adult or coach in the group. Yet, the asst manager was standing in the middle of the store, repeatedly screaming at my athletes saying to leave the store or she was calling the police. As the adult responsible for these young people, I explained that if there is a concern involving a group of athletes/minors (btw, 6 of my 8 athletes are college-bound scholarship athletes in town to compete at the Adidas National Championships), the proper course of action is to locate the adult supervising them & let them know whats going on so they can address it. Instead, the staff chose confrontation, intimidation, and public embarrassment. What concerns me most is that when I repeatedly asked for clarification about what had actually occurred, and which athlete that had been spoken to, no one could provide a clear answer. The asst. manager simply waved her hand toward the group and said she had spoken to "one of them." That response speaks for itself. When I asked the other manager and staff whom they had spoken with or what did they observe, they said they were just going by what the asst. manager claimed. I'm not saying my athletes are perfect - they're still kids. However, not once were my athletes disrespectful or argued with staff. Yet, they were treated as if they were some type of unruly, misbehaved group and felt unwelcome from the moment this interaction began. I ultimately gathered my athletes and left the store. Before leaving, I explained that customer service is not just about selling products—it's about how people are treated. Athletes picking up equipment in a sports store should be expected - not grounds to be removed from the store under the threat of calling law enforcement. Unfortunately, this store failed completely in that regard. The way this situation was handled was unacceptable, unprofessional, embarrassing, and disappointing. I used this situation as an example to my athletes why I'm so hard on them about how they carry themselves in public. I can only imagine how this situation would've played out had coaches & adults not been there to witness it and intervene. I entered the store intending to buy equipment for my club. Instead, I left angry and disappointed. I will never shop at this store again, and based on this experience, I will not recommend Dunham's Sports to anyone. As a matter of fact, i took that same group to Academy Sports and got the items we were looking for. I will be sharing the experience on our social media also. Dunham Sports, do better. If this is how you treat those that come to visit your city and stores, you won't remain in business for long.

Idk why the guy working today has such a nasty attitude. When I got into line it was already an issues with the people in front of me and it carried onto my transaction. Where I asked for a simple price match and the guy had said he remembered me and was questioning the security tag being off and the girl he was working along side said she literally just took it off. So he was extremely rude and tried to accuse me of stealing saying yeah I remember you from the other day. Okay ??? Lucky for him I had my daughter with me and didn’t get out of character but I’m genuinely confused what’s the issue

This store is very bad, zero selection for work out equipment, zero help, and the bathrooms are very nasty, like going to the bathroom, in an out house, but worse!
