  You need a kite hey got kites. They also have everything else. It has all your tourist souvenirs. There is also OBX and NC apparel. The place is big and we'll stocked.

  We have traveled to OBX for decades and Kitty Hawk Kites is always a place we stop at. This location was a huge disappointment. Not because of the store; but the employee. To help management identify this employee it was 6/12 at 8pm. The minute we walked in we were met with a glare. My son is used to the store in Corolla that has an upstairs and started to go up the stairs before he realized it was for employees. She rudely yelled “Employees Only”. She then proceeded to follow us around the store glaring at us. She was scowling at my kids while they were trying out some of the toys. Then she asked another either local person she was talking to or another employee ( I couldn’t see that person ) “is there a retreat in town or something!?” The lady responded “why?, because of all the kids ?” She made a face and said “yeah”. Keep in mind we had 4 kids with us, not a bus load. Ma’am you work in a resort town with beach rentals. And professional tip - if you hate kids, don’t work in a kite store. I hardly ever write reviews but was so appalled by this middle aged women’s behavior, I felt it warranted one.

  Nice store with lots of kite options for every price point. From the pocket kite to 3 line kites. Also, a bonus is the Lifeisgood section. A lot of really nice quality shirts including obx related items. Worth a stop.
