  A sporting goods store that also seems to be part department store. The amount of employees is wild! Someone will always be available to help you out. Best part is the store is dog friendly!

  Shout out to Nick. Im a grown man in his 40s that doesn't know a thing about pistols and Nick totally helped me score my first gun. Totally comfortable and amazing experience. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves, hes a super nice guy and knows his stuff. Thanks Nick

  It’s kind of ironic that Scheels traffics in products celebrating freedom yet enthusiastically engages in the type of Flock camera surveillance on their property that curtails the very freedom of the right to privacy enshrined in MT’s state constitution. Spend your money elsewhere and send a message that these practices are out of line with Montana values.

  I have always enjoyed Scheels! It is clean, organized, and the employees are always happy! But I had to get on and leave a review, because the fast they have a full nursery room for moms is amazing! It is clean, has a sink, and a rocking chair. Thank you to a corporation for understanding and caring about your customers!

  First, Scheels is an impressive store with just about anything you could want. This review isn’t about their selection—it’s about my experience with the staff. I went in intending to purchase a high-end piece of electronic gear. I was handed off three different times to various “experts.” Unfortunately, the person I ended up with didn’t seem very familiar with the equipment. The batteries weren’t charged, and he was trying to figure out how everything worked while I stood there. For an expensive purchase, I expected someone who knew the product and could actually demonstrate it. No sale. A day or two later, I went back to look at day packs. I wanted to browse the selection and compare them on my own. A staff member asked if I needed help, and I politely said, “No thanks, I’m just checking these out.” Apparently, “no thanks” wasn’t an acceptable answer. He continued hovering and wouldn’t leave me alone to simply explore the selection at my own pace. Instead of feeling helped, I felt watched and pressured. Again, no sale. What makes this especially disappointing is that the Scheels store in my hometown is nothing like this. I’ve had much better experiences there. Great store and great selection, but sometimes customers just want knowledgeable help when they ask for it—and to be left alone when they don’t.
