I've tried to shop at Bass Pro Shops at least half a dozen times over the past few years, and almost every visit ends the same way—I leave frustrated because the store is so poorly staffed. The store itself is impressive. It's clean, well organized, well stocked, and creates the excitement you'd expect when you walk through the doors. Every time I arrive, I'm genuinely looking forward to shopping. Unfortunately, that excitement quickly fades if I actually need help. There never seems to be anyone available in the departments. I always—and I mean always—end up walking to the front registers to ask the cashiers if they can find someone to assist me. On two separate occasions, I actually called the store from my cell phone while standing in the department where I needed help and asked to be transferred to someone who worked there because I couldn't find a single employee. This isn't an isolated experience; it's been consistent over several years. The store feels like it's set up for a great customer experience, but without enough knowledgeable staff on the floor, it's incredibly frustrating. More than once I've simply left without buying what I came for because I couldn't get the assistance I needed. I want to like shopping here because the store itself is excellent. But until staffing improves, it's hard to justify making the trip unless I know exactly what I want and have verified its in stock.

Had an issue with a return that could only be solved in store. I was able to call and explain the problem and give my information. Customer service was great, and I got a friendly return call shortly after to let me know that they had resolved my issue. Great customer service and great accountability.

Mixed feelings about this store. I went in one morning unaware registers were not working and did my shopping about twenty minutes went to make a purchase and employees and manager was at the registers lollygagging, looked up at us as if we had an extra head or something and said" we cant ring up your purchase our registers our down and it could be a minute or twenty", well I just wasted my time shopping and cant even purchase anything?! They reply "it's not our fault". I left my stuff with what looked to be the manager of the group and left. So let me make suggestions : you could of announced it when I walked in the store, and I didn't hear anything over the speaker, No employees approached me while shopping and made me aware i might not be able to purchase. By the way it's 2026 why can't you run offline like the rest of the stores do when the system is down so your customers are not inconvenienced and wasting time.
