  I had to do a large purchase of over 25 gift cards! I stopped at the customer service desk and was helped by Samantha! She was so kind and patient and made the process fun! She could have easily just stayed quiet and grumbled about the amount of gift cards but instead she had a smile on her face and held a conversation with me! Thank you so much for your help! Thank you for just being awesome!

  Im from California and I was in need of some warm gloves. I was greeted at the door with a nice welcome. I asked, Im looking for some warm gloves for fishing tomorrow. The girl wish I got her name walked me to the dept and made a call to ask someone where they were. As most likely they were moved. She passed me over to Rob and from there gave me some different options of what I might like. I got places and people are helpful but this company is doing things right. Every single employee made sure I was sincerely taken care of, I almost had a feeling I had a sign above my head that said make sure you take care of this guy.. but as I looked around it was happening everywhere. Highly recommend this place and when we come back or if I have friends that come to Montana. This is the place... but maybe its the people of Montana too because everyone has been very kind.

  At the very start of our family’s six-month RV trip through the U.S., we crossed into Montana from Alberta and made our first overnight stop in Great Falls. I had just broken my last pair of Costa sunglasses before leaving Canada, so replacing them quickly became a priority. The next morning, we headed straight to Scheels, and it ended up being one of those early stops that set a really positive tone for the trip. They had the exact pair of Costas I was looking for, and we even found a pair for my son (his first) which made the stop feel more memorable than just a purchase. The pricing also stood out. Even with the exchange rate, it was noticeably cheaper than what we would have paid at Bass Pro or Cabela’s back in Canada. The store itself is large and very well stocked, with a wide selection across outdoor gear, clothing, and equipment. It’s the kind of place you could easily spend more time in than planned. Even going in with a specific goal, it was easy to find what we needed quickly, which made the whole experience efficient. There’s also a strong visual element to the store, with large taxidermy displays throughout that give it more of a destination feel than a typical retail stop. The staff made a big difference as well. The woman who helped us was genuinely kind, helpful, and easy to deal with, which made everything smooth from start to finish. From a practical standpoint, this was an easy stop with a larger setup. There was plenty of parking at the mall for our truck and 35’ trailer, and getting in and out was straightforward with no stress. Overall, this was exactly what we needed at the time. If you’re passing through Great Falls and need gear, this is an easy and worthwhile stop, especially coming from Canada where pricing can be higher.
