Every time I order on their website it gets screwed up. Every time.... Since my bad experiences are outweighing the good experiences online and at the local store, I will be taking a very long break from shopping there.

Only person in line behind the customer being helped, waited 15 minutes. I tried to purchase 20 steel stakes to hold a large tent. I planned on paying the price marked $1.99 per stake, not the actual price of $6.99 per stake, thats a big difference. They did nothing to save the purchase. The clerk said, "that sucks, have a nice day".

Customer service is terrible. I returned an item once and the person at the counter said she could not return it without a receipt. I asked if she could look it up using my card or membership # and she said no. I left the store and came back an hour later, got a different employee and when I said I don't have my receipt, he said, "no problem. I can look it up with your credit card." So, clearly the first person just had a nasty attitude. On another occasion I tried to return a bugle tube 4 hours after I purchased it because I found my old one. The call was never taken out of the package. She said returns were not allowed on mouth calls. I get that, but this was never taken out of the package and it was not a package that could be resealed after opening. I also had a friend go in there the night before opening day because he lost his antelope tag. He was told that they cannot reprint lost tags. We were hunting the next morning and so he called me. I told him to go down to Bob Wards and the first person that greeted him when he walked in the door printed a replacement tag for him. On yet another occasion I went to the gun counter to look at some handguns. I was the only customer there. There were 5-6 employees standing at the other end of the counter having a non-business chat. I stood there for several minutes leaning on the counter with my eyes on them and my posture facing them. A couple of them turned and looked at me but no one offered any help. They just went back to their conversation. I finally asked if I could look at a gun and one of them said he could show it to me, but he made me wait another minute while they finished their conversation. I went down to Bob Wards and bought a handgun. Sportsman's just seems to have a bad attitude. I will only shop there if no other options are available and I need it that day. I will go to Bob Wards, Murdoch's or even Walmart, before I will shop here. I keep hoping they will improve their service and policies, but it's been like this for several years now.

First and Last purchase at this location. Walked up to the counter for assistance, got blatantly ignored. Another customer walks up and they immediately help them. This guy just rambles and talks for 10 minutes, while multiple employees "help" him and ignore. Guy buys NOTHING. Finally.he leaves, and they still won't even make eye contact with me. And they instead help ANOTHER customer that just walked up. This guy also buys NOTHING. I was ready for a purchase right then and there. One of the employee tries to get away and I literally had to grab him as he tried to not help me. If I didn't need the item today, I never would have given this location and their horrible employees any of my money. And I won't ever again.
