I bought a few items, and came back to return a shirt that didn't fit. I had the card I used but not the receipt. The manager told me firmly "we can't do any returns without the receipt".
So I went home, found the receipt and came back another day. To complete the return they asked for my name and address. I said I don't want to give my address. They insisted, "in case something goes wrong with the return". I guess the physical receipt and the card used isn't enough? Thankfully I had a rewards account they could link it to and complete the return.
Seems a bit over the top for a simple return, not sure I'll be doing any more shopping there.

Appreciate that we have a store in Bozeman now, but the fact that we are unable to return clothing that my daughter got for Christmas that doesn’t fit her because it was a gift and we don’t have the original email feels archaic. We just went through the same thing at Anthropologie and they had absolutely no issue with us returning an item with just the packing slip. Get with the times!!

I had an absolutely amazing experience at American Eagle! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and positive. Jon went above and beyond to make sure I found exactly what I needed — his customer service was great. He made the entire shopping experience enjoyable and effortless. I will be back!

Went in at 12 on 7/3 for the first time and had a horrible experience. No one greeted me, I had to try on clothes, and used the button to call for help and no one came even the girl in the next stall was waiting for help and she started saying "hello is anyone gonna help me?". I gave up and went to find stuff on my own. I went to the counter to ask if I could put stuff aside that I wanted as it was alot and I wasnt done. No one helped me. I went to a blonde curly haired girl with glasses and she just looked at me like I was interrupting her chat with the other employee. There was a male also working and walked passed me multiple times not once asking if I needed help or if he could take all the clothes from me that I wanted.
The only helpful person was Sierra. She at least helped me at the counter, and ordered shorts for me and made small talk.
Regardless, im not sure ill be back for awhile now. Really disappointing for a new store.
