My friends shared this opportunity with me and it couldn’t have been easier. They were set up in the mall at a jewelry store. Wonderful young folks super friendly. They go through your things and let you know which ones they will take. Weigh them and give you a price and cut a check on the spot! Super nice experience- highly recommend to de clutter your home of the silver and gold heirlooms and jewelry you may have stashed away.

The Gem specialist that assisted me was not At All pleasant. I asked her reason why they do NOT accept Silver Plated Items and she explained in a not pleasant manner. It was like she was bothered by my inquiry lacked customer service skills, I have worked CS skills throughout my employment years and she for sure needs to Brush up on them. On the other hand the guys that assisted me as I walked in Greeted me and as I made my sale escorted to door and showed there politeness.

Seller beware! I would have been ripped off of thousands of dollars had I not went to several coin and metal buyers prior to going to this National Rarities buying event. Luke reviewed my silver utensils that have a patent date of 1897 engraved along with “Sterling” on each piece. After weighing, 1,246 dwt (Troy oz), he tried to tell me that the blades on the knives were not silver so he had to deduct a random amount from the weight. I asked him to prove it because in the 1800’s they didn’t have the technology to make split metal utensils plus I had already had them elsewhere. He reviewed again and retracted that statement and offered me a buying quote of $400!!! That’s a rip off and I told him I had a $1400 offer from another buyer so thanks but NO THANKS! Then I gave him a 2 diamond (2/3 carat plus) ring set in white gold…. Because the diamonds were not perfect he said a fair offer was $350! I asked for my ring back and said absolutely NOT. The gold alone is worth more. I’ve received offers in excess of $2500. I have never been more offended in my lifetime. As I was picking up the wood box containing the silverware he proceeded to tell me that he made a “calculation error” and his manager made a new offer of $1,500. Luke did try to apologize, however lame it was. I did take the offer and will never ever go to one of these National Rarities buying events. I left there wanting to tell all of the customers to go get another value as they won’t get a fair offer from National Rarities. I did refrain. I will tell everyone I know to go elsewhere for an offer or two because they will try to rip you off. Brenda L

I sold some jewelry that I never wear during an event at Kiefer's Lutz location. I made an appointment so I didn't have to deal with a line. The process was relatively quick - I was in/out in 30 minutes which included time checking out all of the new jewelry at Kiefer's! National Rarities not only deals in jewelry but all kinds of collector type things such as antique toys, high end purses and other things. One might be able to command a higher price selling on ebay but for fast cash with none of the hassles this was a great experience!

I had a great experience with Parker at a local high-end jewelry store in Ohio when they had a walk-in event to review and buy estate items and unwanted jewelry. I priced things on ebay and spot prices for gold & silver before going. He gave me fair prices, layed each item on a flat white board with the offer price so I could clearly see. He was very personable and also gave me ideas for some items I wasn't sure about selling but curious about remaking. In one item, I decided to keep the 2 stones and just sell the setting since they were easy for him to pop out. I've sold to other businesses, and this was my best experience.
