  So glad I was able to attend an event hosted at a local jewelry store. Ethan was great to work with and he took his time explain the difference in each kind of jewelry metal as well as shared some extra knowledge with the coins we brought in. Definitely a great experience and easy process from start to finish.

  I had a positive experience with National Rarities, and Katelyn was very pleasant to deal with throughout the process. I was, however, a little disappointed that, according to your website, you buy diamonds, fine jewelry, etc., but I came to learn that there were some caveats. I was informed at the event that, due to lab-grown diamonds, natural diamonds have gone down in value. I was also told that with colored stones, such as natural emeralds, sapphires, and rubies, without a certificate showing how the stone was treated, its origin, etc., you cannot determine its value. Ultimately, you are only offering the value of the gold. I take it as a learning experience.

  I was surprised they don't buy gemstones, but they're entitled to buy what they buy. However, jewelry is only priced by the weight of the metal, and they give no credit for the gemstones in it either. Example, an owl pendant in sterling silver with sapphire eyes and marcasite body, I was offered $8 for it. I kept most of my pieces and sold them 1 ring and 1 necklace. I had also taken in several coins but was offered a small fraction of their values. I sold them 2 coins out of the dozen or so that I took in. Overall, I was optimistic that this event would be better than a pawn shop, but it wasn't.

  The experience was very satisfactory. You are met at the door and some contact information is taken, then they give you an idea of how long you’ll have to wait. For me there was no waiting at all this time. Everyone is very professional, explains their rating to you for each item and whether it’s sellable or not. I have had 2 very good experiences with this company.

  Had 2 very satisfactory encounters with the National Rarities team at Traditional Jewelers in Madison, MS. Audrey was our primary buyer both days, she was great to work with, explained things well, and gave us a fair price. Rhett, her co-worker, was very helpful in supporting the sale of other items, and the admin team was right there when needed. If we had more stuff, we'd go back!
