  Was told by Pete and Johana that no animal but K9 were allowed in the store. And that it was posted at front in plain sight. Ummm try again. We have been there many times with no issues with our baby goats with diapers. It brings so many people joy including the employees. We were doing our shopping while we were in town. You might want to check your signage and HR attitude. No one else has ever had an issue. Look at your sign.. and in plain sight. Okay....... Expect. Many more reviews to come.

  I like shopping at Bass Pro Shop and I have not had a problem with shopping at this store. However, I have heard some bad things from people who work there and I will do a review on that later if it does not improve. But as a personal shopping experience it's been very good I love the fact that they have some very good products including ammunition, weapons, and crossbows.

  Bass Pro Shops is always a great place to stop, especially if you’re into hunting, fishing, camping, or the outdoors. The store has a huge selection of products, and it’s easy to spend plenty of time looking around at everything they have. The displays and outdoor-themed atmosphere make the experience more than just a typical shopping trip. The employees were friendly and helpful, and the store was clean and organized. They have everything from fishing gear and hunting equipment to clothing, boots, camping supplies, and outdoor accessories. Overall, it’s a great place to shop, browse, and find something for your next outdoor adventure. Definitely worth checking out!

  I'm fairly new to fishing and needed some solid advice and help getting started with this sport. What better place to go than Bass Pro in Springfield MO!! After getting lost in the maze of fish tanks, taxidermy everything and gear I really didn't need; but wanted, I found myself in the fishing department. This is where my wallet lost confidence in me... After speaking with several employees about their opinions and expertise on fishing, I came across Mike. This guy is a wealth of knowledge. Him and I talked for over an hour. Mostly him talking and me asking questions. I was looking for a bait-caster to use on the local rivers. Told him I wanted quality but not to break the bank. He showed my pole after pole and explained gear ratios, tension settings and brake settings. He suggested different lure setups for different situations and explained how to properly setup the pole I was looking at for that particular fishing scenario. The guy was clean cut, respectful, knowledgeable and even inquisitive on the things I do in my free time. Besides being a great asset to Bass Pro Shops he made me feel comfortable in my lack of knowledge and really guided me in the right direction. I feel like I can be successful on the water because of him. The guy even said to show pictures of how I did on the water. Good sir, I plan on it!! I highly suggest seeking this guy out and really getting to know him. He's easy to spot. He's the friendly guy with a mustache and great smile. Keep it up Mike, I appreciate you dude!! More than you know!

  EDIT: Will provide lengthier update later. Just updating stats for the time being. ———- I’m visiting from Texas, called ahead to talk to the firearms counter about buying a rifle. I did my due diligence prior to the phone call and looked up the ATF rules on the ATF Form 4473 about Block 26. The requirements are 1) provide a government issued ID that has name, photograph and DOB. 2) an alternate government issued ID is allowed so long as it’s issued by a GOVERNMENT agency, has name and current address. I said since my Texas DL has an old address, I’d be providing a fishing license with my current address on it. They said that it’s not legal to do that and they wouldn’t accept it. Unfortunately it appears the GM should get involved and perhaps conduct some re training on their associates that work the firearms counter because they don’t know how to read rules. Sucks because I liked bass pro, but all it takes is one incompetent employee to blow the entire company’s image. On to Academy or Dicks.
