Went shopping and ready to check out next and then the servers went down on 180 stores. Wanted 45 minutes and the lady put our merchandise in a cart to hold and we would be back in a hour. Went back and they removed our items. Plus the other lady was rude about leaving our stuff. Johnny needs to train there staff better.

5/15/26 Springfield Missouri. Spent 30 minutes in line and to find out the servers were out. We asked if you could put out stuff down and come back later. They said sure. Went back a hour later to pickup our items and pay. They had already removed our items. They were rude to us because we came back to pickup our items because the servers were down. Johnny Morris needs a to have a talk about customer service.

As a Bass Pro Shops Club Member, visiting the Springfield flagship honestly felt a little like making a pilgrimage to the birthplace of modern outdoor retail. They call it the “Grandaddy of All Outdoor Stores,” and somehow it still exceeds expectations. This is not just a store it is basically a full-scale outdoor museum, theme park, lodge, aquarium, and shopping experience all rolled into one massive complex in the heart of the Ozarks. The place is enormous. You could easily spend an entire day here and still not see everything. The giant aquariums, indoor waterfalls, wildlife displays, museums, archery exhibits, boats, rustic timber architecture, and massive hunting and fishing departments make it feel more like a national attraction than a retail space. The entire store captures that Ozarks outdoors culture perfectly part hunting lodge, part conservation museum, part Americana roadside attraction. Whether you are into bass fishing, waterfowl hunting, camping, boating, hiking, or just the outdoors in general, they have pretty much every piece of gear imaginable. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed proud to work there, which added to the experience. I think that is exactly what you want from a store and company that sells going outdoors. One of the coolest parts was how immersive everything felt. Every hallway leads into another display, museum section, aquarium, or themed room. It can be overwhelming at times but overwhelming in a good way. Even the taxidermy and conservation exhibits were impressive enough that you could spend serious time just walking around taking it all in. Growing up on the East Coast when I was younger we every year made the pilgrimage to the LL Bean flagship. And Bass Pro Shops’ flagship definitely gives LL Bean a run for its money. Maybe that’s the reason LL Bean is now undergoing a multi year renovation. The attached Wonders of Wildlife Museum & Aquarium absolutely lives up to the hype too and is worth planning extra time for. Same with grabbing a meal at Hemingway’s or stopping for fudge and coffee while wandering the complex. You could easily spend half a day just walking around and taking everything in. I have visited a number of Bass Pro locations over the years, including various Outdoor Worlds and Outposts and of course the Pyramid, but Springfield truly feels like the spiritual headquarters of the entire outdoor brand and possibly for all outdoorsmen. Absolutely worth the trip whether you are a hardcore outdoorsman or just someone who appreciates uniquely American places done on a massive scale.

Went to where they make the fudge and ice cream and got an ice cream cone, paid for it of course they ask for gratuity even tho they’re making an hourly wage and are just doing their simple job which is handing me something. So ofc i leave her 2 and some change and i just rounded it up to 10 to be nice and go figure the lady left herself a 10 dollar tip instead of the 2 that I left her, it was a 7 dollar tab how do you think it’s okay to leave a 10 dollar tip for yourself when I didn’t have to leave anything for making me a simple ice cream cone. Also called bass bro about this calmly believe it or not and they just hung up right after I said I was changed a 10 dollar tip I didn’t leave
