  Would’ve given 5 stars, but clearly the manager helping me had leaving as a priority, mentioning fighting traffic and picking up kids. That’s all understandable, but telling me things that simply aren’t true in order to get rid of me is not. I have a pair of Persol glasses, which use crystal lenses instead of plastic, which are difficult to install. She gave it a shot a few times, got very huffy, and said I had the wrong size lenses…according to Persol they only come in one size lol. I got them from Persol directly. When I proved they were in fact the right size, she said the frame shrunk from heating it. I never had them heated!!! As a professional mechanic who has repaired his share of plastics, I know that reheating plastics is fine, it makes the plastic more soft and pliable. She claimed that if she heated them, the frame would break! Simply untrue. Persols are made from cellular acetate, which is in fact designed to be more pliable. The employee that stayed was far more helpful, and tried for 30+ minutes to install my lenses. She really believed in herself, and I actually felt bad that she couldn’t succeed at the install. I then called the other Sunglass Hut, the actual store in West County Mall where I initially purchased the glasses, and “Big Mama” (she said to use that with her referral!) lol was extremely helpful. Referred me to a repair shop that works absolute magic on glasses; in fact, the owners are former Sunglass Hut employees from 30 years ago! Spectrum on Watson is the place. They got them fixed in minutes BY HEATING THEM, and charged very little. That’s where I go now, and refer to anyone needing services.

  Lady working there was helpful to us when I was searching for a new pair of darker sunglasses. Went out of her way to find out information she didn’t have the answer to. Purchase on 9/14/20

  I bought some sunglasses here last year and the associate told me that my purchase had two automatic warranties: "oops" coverage that expired after a year and lost/stolen coverage. My sunglasses were stolen at a restaurant and so I contacted Sunglass Hut to start the process of paying for a 50% off replacement. The phone number for this Sunglass Hut was not correct (on any form of social media) and so I contacted corporate via email and phone. I found out the lost/stolen coverage was something that had to be signed up for after purchase, although the associate had told me it came automatically. Corporate agreed that the store should honor the 50% off but that I would still have to contact the regional manager about it. Finally, after a month, the store manager calls me and tells me they can't help, even after I explained my situation and why the discount should be honored. This company and particular store doesn't care about their customers and their associates will say anything for a sale. Unfortunately, the only reason I chose to purchase at Sunglass Hut (even though they were more expensive) was because of the lost/stolen warranty offered, so they've lost any loyalty I would have from them. I would not recommend buying from this store. I wouldn't even recommend buying from this company at all since corporate can't hold their stores to any standard. They've lost my business and that of anyone I can convince to purchase their glasses elsewhere.
