  If i could give zero stars i would. I had an unopened sealed gift card from my mother in law that i opened for the first time at the counter and they claimed that it had a charge on it from a year ago and it was empty as a result. After my protests i was told there was simply nothing they could do. After this experience i will not shop at JC penny ever again.

  This store closes at 6:00 on Sunday. Not a problem. They don't let anyone in after 5: 45. That's a problem when you're greeted at the door as it is being locked and told we don't let anyone in after 5:45.

  Yesterday I entered JCPenney with my family, including two small children. We were using a wagon, which is something many families use for young children, and it is especially helpful for my son who has autism. I intentionally parked near what I believed was the northwest entrance because it is typically less crowded. My son is prone to eloping and can become overwhelmed in busy environments, so choosing quieter entrances helps us safely navigate public places. As soon as we entered the store, three older employees stared at my family without greeting us. As we walked by, I heard one employee say “wagon/stroller” over a walkie-talkie. Whether that comment was directed at us or not, the timing made it feel directed at our family and made for a very uncomfortable experience. We were not shopping at JCPenney and had no intention of making a purchase. We were simply passing through to access another store. Even so, customers and visitors should be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Instead, the interaction felt unwelcoming, judgmental, and off-putting from the moment we walked in. Families with young children and disabled children already navigate enough challenges in public spaces. Being stared at and seemingly discussed over a walkie-talkie immediately upon entering made me feel singled out and uncomfortable. I hope management addresses this with staff and reinforces the importance of treating all families with professionalism and respect.

  Joke of a store. If your going to get new computers maybe check to make sure they work. Bought something in KC. Now I gotta drive 2 hours just to return it cause your systems dont communicate. Same service I used to get from Sears and we know what happend to them.
