I sell and buy clothes everyday and have been doing this for 16 years. I can tell you which location buys what and whom seems to pay the most. But what I can tell you is that the Roseville location is the most unfriendly store. Alot of the employees are extremely rude and the buyers are even worse. I have had the buyers and cashiers literally snicker and act rude as hell to me. There was one instance where the Owner ( she actually doesn't own it anymore. There is now new ownership) seen me pick up my items and I had a perplexed angry look on my face so she said, "Leeanne what's wrong." I explained to her how I didn't understand why they didn't buy anything. She happily dumped my bag out on the counter and went through it quickly. She bought the expensive bottles of men's cologne and over half my clothes for $82.00 dollars. She was frustrated and said she was going to talk to the buyers AGAIN. I honestly feel that they are rude, judgemental with ther little snickers and laughing and it seems to me that they are busy buying the clothes of employees.

I normally wouldn’t take the time to leave a review for a store like this, but after my experience at the Woodbury Plato’s Closet, I genuinely want to save other people from wasting their time.
I brought in three large totes of very nice, clean, name-brand clothing, including brands like American Eagle, Old Navy, and Nike—many of which are specifically listed on Plato’s Closet’s website as brands they are looking for.
It was very obvious that they did not even go through most of what I brought in. They pulled out six seemingly random items and offered me $26 for everything they chose. I completely understand that resale stores are selective and won’t take everything, but I at least expected my items to actually be looked through before being rejected.
The customer service made the experience even worse. The employees I interacted with were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. The store itself was also a mess, and it was especially frustrating to see racks full of SHEIN and other fast-fashion items after being told they weren’t interested in clean, current name-brand clothing.
I would absolutely not recommend this location for either selling or shopping. The entire experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. Save yourself the time and take your clothes somewhere else. If I could give the Woodbury Plato’s Closet zero stars, I would.

Wouldn’t ever go near this place! They are rude upon entering, direct you to sign a piece of paper for donating, don’t call you, then steal your clothes!

I never leave reviews anymore but, Honestly one of the worst resale experiences I’ve had. I brought in two full bags of clothes and shoes, and they only took 6 items for a total of $16. They didn’t even go through half of one of my bags because it was still folded exactly how I had packed it.
What really bothered me was the way the employees acted. As a teenager being greeted by teens I expected a lot more professional behavior and welcoming behavior. They made comments about what I was trying to sell and even commented on how my shoes “weren’t cute.” I felt judged and unwelcome the entire time. They were also talking loudly and being obnoxious behind the counter, which made the whole experience even more uncomfortable. I felt like an inconvenience asking for any help.
They wouldn’t take any of my Zara or Altered State items, yet they took Shein. I also had a Kate Spade lanyard in the bag that they took, which normally retails for around $80, so receiving $16 for everything they accepted was especially disappointing.
On top of that, the store itself was extremely messy and disorganized. I understand that not everything will be accepted at a resale store, but there is a huge difference between simply being selective and making customers feel judged while barely looking through their items.
After this experience, I definitely won’t be coming back or recommending this place.
