  I have universally had great experiences with Cabelas and Bass Pros across this country, but I have had a very negative experience here. I placed a phone order for a pistol that Cabelas had listed on gunsinternational.com, and heard nothing about the order for a week, only to call back and be told they hadn't even charged my card. After fixing that, the representative told me to expect the pistol to be shipped to my local Cabelas within a day with 2 day shipping. A week passes and I hear no news. I check and yes, my card has been charged, but when I call, the representative tells me the gun is still on the shelf, mistakenly waiting to be shipped! After promising to get that out the door the next day at the latest, I wait 4 more days, to call again and find that they know nothing about the order at all! I can barely get anyone on the line when I call, and nobody can tell me anything about his item that I spent several hundred dollars on. This is by far one of the most difficult and frustrating gun-buying experiences I have ever had, and I have purchased hundreds of guns, many of them via phone orders with Cabelas! I would be very hesitant to ever buy from this location again.

  I needed a pair of binoculars, and the online shop was a real nightmare to work with. So I went in person instead, and Pierre from hunting took my number and gave me a call a few days later to let me know the pair I wanted was in stock. Brick and mortar employees here really care about their customers here.

  When my partner and I went to the Cabela’s in Woodbury to go on a hunt for our perfect hammock chairs that we have been looking for, for about 2 years. It was my partners first time EVER in a Cabela’s, he was in such awe of all the things they have. We spent at least 2 to 3 hours there just looking at everything and having such wonderful conversations with EVERY SINGLE employee. Everyone was so knowledgeable and kind. Never tried to sell us on things we didn’t want or need. We not only found the amazing chairs we had been looking for but it was the last two and they discontinued making them. We also went on to buy a few other things, we can’t wait to go back and make this our new favorite store. If you’re looking for a friendly local Cabela’s try out the Woodbury one.
