All summer last year I didn't shop there due to no air conditioning. It's not worth the discomfort to lose customers this way. It was a big Liz Claiborne event and no air conditioning ruins the event. People all around were complaining and the store was not busy. Could this be why?

- KDKathryn DunnMar 30, 20261.0(March 27th) The cashier was offended that I did not want to sign up for their “card”. I asked if it was a credit card, she said yes, so I declined. Then she mumbled that I “could just pay it off”. (NO REALLY?!?!?) I wasn’t going to waste my time justifying myself so I just ignored her comment. Most store credit cards are garbage, and I have no interest in signing up for a credit card with a horrible APR and rewards that EXPIRE. I realized afterwards that the cashier added a JCP donation to my purchase out of spite without my consent. She took advantage of the fact that I was looking at items near the register and skipped to the final screen with only the total. There was no mention of a donation. This cashier is a scammer. Apparently it’s JCPenney’s policy to aggressively push credits cards and steal donations without permission from unsuspecting customers. My family will never go back to JCPenney. Go to Macy’s where the products, sales, and service are significantly better.
