  I ordered a pair of Betsy Johnson heels for my wedding online. Online order.. it was the day of my dress fitting and I needed the correct height for my wedding heels to get my dress altered- so I relied on DSW to have the shoes I needed which they did . They only had them at this location so I had to drive 30 minutes to get them. but I went to pick them up and the associate showed me them, and they were completely soiled on the bottom. Totally dirty and worn- Like someone had worn them for their own wedding and gave them back. For $130 shoe that’s pretty unacceptable. He offered to wipe the shoe down and explained it. It’s probably from people trying it on. . But I declined the request … So right then and there, I said I think I’m just gonna go ahead and cancel the order because I can’t accept these . Like these are my actual wedding heels. So I asked the associate To cancel the order and he said he did. I left the store. So the next day, today, May 29 , I received an email stating my order was picked up TODAY!?? Mind you I live in a totally different city, and I wasn’t in the store at all today. I’m taking care of my sick animal. I didn’t even leave the house. ??? What? So I’m not sure who approved of that -so now I was charged $130 with zero shoe in hand. That is really sketchy. Anyway, I called the store and explained the situation- And they basically just apologized, but I kind of want an explanation on why that would even happen? The associate from yesterday told me he canceled the order: And the lady I talked to just now on the phone, said it was never canceled. Back to yesterday May 28- So I have my dress fitting in one hour, (HAVE TO DRIVE ANOTHER 30 to get there) and I’m scrambling to find my wedding shoe!!! Which is very important because I need the exact height- because my alterations person is cutting up my dress. For said height. So I scurry on over to von Maur where I know that they sell the same shoe- Just out a slightly higher price point . Whatever. They don’t have them in white so I was forced to go and purchase them at von Maur in Navy blue- I explained the situation to the von Maur associate- Who I knew because I used to work there- And, they were very kind and sold me the pair in the blue color and even Even made me an online order to be shipped to me at my Home for the white pair in my size. Luckily, the von Maur Associates saved the day and I was able to get my dress altered to that height.. Overall this whole experience was very sketchy and I won’t be shopping at DSW anymore. I’d like to know how a phantom ghost version of me went to go pick up the shoe today when I never left the house . Trust me, I am a person who has worked in retail for five years and I have worked in customer service for About 10 years since I was a teen- I show kindness to every employee, but this is just weird and unacceptable. I don’t know what went wrong, but I’d like an explanation.
