Your Ignition Interlock installation appointment will usually only take up to an hour or two, depending on the make and model of your vehicle. We also understand the significance of working with your car – rest assured that our service technicians will take utmost care while installing the Interlock device.

After having your Ignition Interlock Device installed, you’ll need to have your device serviced regularly at a Smart Start service center. These visits can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Our trained service technicians will help you to answer any questions you may have concerning your device.

Removing your Ignition Interlock Device is simple! Before you submit a removal request, please check with your state authority that you are authorized to remove your device. It’s important that you only have your device removed at a Smart Start service center.

    If I could leave 0 stars I would. In my experience, this is the worst company I have EVER dealt with. Not just the worst company for the services they provide…but the worst company I have ever had to deal with in my life. It is a constant game of transferring and waiting on hold forever. When you actually reach someone to speak with , they are absolutely no help and transfer you to someone else. The people I talk to are also very rude. I believe one of the people who was extremely rude was Hasheem (sp), Who is an owner or a manager. They do not have 24 hour support, So you are screwed if anything happens in the middle of the night. You are stranded. Which I have been. Getting help on the weekends is also a nightmare and pretty much impossible. Now let’s get to the equipment, I’ve had this breathalyzer for not even two months now. I’ve been into the shop twice already. To have repairs done. Through no fault of mine(no it wasn’t locked because I had a bad breath test), it was just locked out. And because it was the weekend, there was no human being to talk to. So I was stuck in a parking lot. The screen going completely blank not being able to see anything and winging it to get it to the shop to have it replaced. The only thing this breathalyzer has going for it, Is Bedrock motors. The gentleman who calibrates and deals with all of the headaches of customers, is fantastic! I’m going this week to have this breathalyzer removed from my car and going with a different company. I already have everything set up with the other company. I just need to speak to a human at Smart Start to put this whole nightmare process behind me, and of course, I’ve been Calling, emailing and attempting to fax with absolutely no response yet again.

    Horrible experience with Stu, easily could have communicated to me but instead he chose to yell at me like a child because he couldn’t handle being busy. Stu doesn’t realize that I bark back and his tail went between his legs and now I was banned. These people are completely unreal and when you let the people at Bedrock motors know the situation they act like they don’t associate with smart start- even though smart start operates directly out of there shop garage. Coincidentally bedrock motors banned me for absolutely no reason. This is how these people act in small towns so be careful, Stu is not a good person.
