    Apparently lack of transparency and credibility is part of Cabela’s business model. In store experience was good at first. Beautiful store with great variety and prices Very friendly and helpful team members. I brought my retired parents to Cabela’s in Roger to purchase a new grill that I researched online, as it appears they have the best deal for what we were looking for. We were talked into opening a club credit card membership with a promise of all kinds of savings. They told us we would get $20 club cash point to spend after applying and approval, which we did. Then we were told to make 5 purchases and be given additional $20 but didn’t tell us it takes 1-2 billing cycles for that to get posted. Then we were told that we have to wait until Mondays for the club membership discounts but that shipping cost would be free. We trusted the Cabela’s promoter and followed the steps. Then today (Monday) I was prepared to make the purchase online via their app but to learn that the $20 for making 5 purchases has not been posted and I will have to wait at least 1-2 billing cycles. Upon check out I also learned that free shipping promotion was also a scam. They never told us that the basic S&H may be free ($35 worth) but the grill would cost me an additional $75 because of bulky weight item. WTH?!? I could have bought the grill and picked it up in person while I was there but because these card promoters told me that my online purchase on club Mondays would include free shipping - not entirely true! Is lack of transparency and credibility part of Cabela’s business model? Then I contacted customer services via chat and they appear empathic and that I’m being “heard” about my frustration. However so far they did absolutely nothing to make things right. Update: customer service responded and offered $20 promotional code in trying to make it right for the confusion and inconvenience. As a result, I changed my rating from previous 1 star to 2. In all, their promotional club card and membership is a great idea but Cabela’s and their master card need to make the entire process of use and redemption process far less complicated. Most importantly, make shipping and handling costs transparent and upfront.

    Really cool place but the guys in the firearms dept are not it. Super rude. Bought one and was asked like 6 times who it was for and when I said it’d likely mostly be used for target practice they acted shocked because it was for “taking down large animals.” So if you’re a girl don’t buy a gun at Cabela’s

    FANTASTIC RAINY DAY with kids! The store is huge, has lots of animals on display to look at, and the fish tunnel is my 3yo's obsession. The candy at checkout is delicious. We always end up with so many of the $6 Bass Pro Shop hats. Thanks for entertaining our kids, Cabela's! Our little family all have matching Carhartt overalls thanks to you 😊

    There was a time I seriously enjoyed going to Cabelas and shopping but this location has made me transition away from in person to either online or other retailers. You get hounded any time you walk in the front of the store to be a club member. Is the company struggling so bad they need to try so hard to get people to buy on credit? Oh also I am a club member so this isn't a rant on credit rejection.
