  Frickin awesome The guy took the time to tie a bobber and swivel and a jig and gave me great pointers. Knowledgeable people Beautiful store.

  Stopped in tonight to get some new shoes. I need size 15 shoes which I know are not very common. I was not expecting a lot of selection. The one I asked for help didn’t seem very willing to want to look into what was available in my size. She eventually found a pair after I keep repeatedly asking about different options on the wall. I ended up purchasing a pair because I was in need of a new pair that weren’t broken. Something still didn't sit right with me on this experience so I decided to stop elsewhere just to see what they had. I stopped at Rogan’s on the north side of town and was greeted with much more willing help. Won’t be going back to Scheels for shoes anytime soon.

  What can I say its Scheels. This place is always great even if you run into unpleasant people. All you have to do is move to a different section and things are great again.

  Scheels is a good store for it's variety of sports apparel and other sports equipment, but what I went there for I was very disappointed for how small their selections were for disc golf equipment and apparel.

  My wife and I visited the Rochester SCHEELS on September 6, 2026, between 2:00 PM and 2:55 PM, and were incredibly disappointed by the lack of customer service. From the moment we walked in, we felt completely ignored by the staff across multiple departments.Our experience began in the women’s shoe department, where multiple employees failed to greet us or offer assistance, forcing us to go out of our way to ask for help. We faced the exact same issue in women’s clothing. The associate managing the fitting rooms was entirely preoccupied chatting with what appeared to be an off-duty employee, completely failing to check on my wife or offer to pull different jean sizes for her. I encountered the same lack of acknowledgment in the men’s department, and the trend continued in the firearms department, where not a single employee acknowledged our presence. Most concerningly, multiple assistant store leaders walked directly past us without making eye contact or offering a simple greeting. The sole highlight of our visit was a young man working in the water sports department. He was the first and only employee during our entire visit to ask how our day was and see if we needed assistance. I made sure to let him know he was the first person to acknowledge us all day and praised him for actually embodying what a SCHEELS employee is supposed to be. SCHEELS usually prides itself on great service, but the widespread culture of indifference we experienced today—especially from management—was highly unprofessional. I hope store leadership addresses this lack of attentiveness with their team.
