  Terrible customer service. Went in to sell clothes and was told they are not buying for a few days. They should definitely communicate this on their website. I wasted my time and gas to be told they will not buy anything for some days. Spoke with the "nanager' and she was not helpful. I will never be back again.

  I was extremely disappointed with our experience at Plato’s Closet today. My daughter was looking at a sweatshirt displayed on the end of a clothing rack that was wrapped in plastic. She was excited because she wanted to buy it. An employee with dark, wavy hair abruptly walked over and said, “Don’t touch that. That’s for our back-to-school opening.” The problem is that a large portion of the store was wrapped in plastic or otherwise blocked off, yet there were no signs indicating those items were not for sale. This is back-to-school shopping season—the exact time customers are coming in to buy these items. If merchandise isn’t available for purchase yet, it shouldn’t be displayed on the sales floor without clear signage. What made the experience worse was the employee’s tone. There are polite ways to explain that something isn’t available yet, but this interaction came across as rude and unwelcoming. Customer service makes a huge difference, and unfortunately this experience lived up to some of the negative reviews I’ve seen about this location. I hope management takes the time to coach staff on customer service and either removes unavailable merchandise from the sales floor or clearly labels it so customers aren’t put in an awkward situation. We drove a long way to walk into a store and feel unwelcome. Do better!

  Will never bring my clothes here again. I brought clothes here in January 2026 and got 85$ in store credit. The worker told me it was good at this location and edin praire. I went to Edin prairie to use it and they explained to me how it only works at Minnetonka location. So I went to used some of it a couple of times than went to use the remaining 40 dollars and the worker told me I did not have store credit. I proceeded to tell her I should have 40$ in there and was not much help of getting it back. I told her I would like my store credit back because I gave them my clothes and she told me she can’t do that. I asked if she could ask a manager how to get it back and she told me she has no way of contacting her. And told me there was nothing she could do but didn’t even try to help. I would NOT bring your clothes here!!

  My drop off experience❌ If a gold medal could be given for being rude, we have a winner on the 27th of May at 10am. The girls working ignored me at the same level a victorian child would be ignored for asking for bread. Eventually one of the girls ended up pausing the gossip, asked for my ID, TOSSED it back to be like we were throwing chips in vegas (never even been to vegas but one could imagine). Then said my pick up time and walked away. Mind you there was not a single ounce of manners used, no “hello” or “thank you”. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 see you guys at 3:30 though (my pickup time).

  Poor experience. Has low quality clothing. And take way too long to give you a quote.
