    The store was pretty well picked over as far as mens clothing went. Plenty of option for women and children. Shoe section was aess and a limited selection. Only staff I could find were at the checkout counters. I miss having a JCPenney's closer to my home.

    I have always liked JCPenney. It's always been the one place I could always find what I wanted at a price I could afford. Lately I have been shopping JCPenney on-line and have been happy with that. I needed to return an item today, (Saturday) and I looked up store hours and the website said open at 10 on Fridays and Saturdays. I realized when I got there at 10:45 that it wasn't open until 11. There were many people in the parking lot waiting to get in. I mentioned this to the sales clerk and she was surprised the website said 10. The employees are always helpful and friendly, and 15 minutes to wait didn't hurt me any. However, maybe some clearing up on the website would be helpful? I also noticed the air conditioning wasn't working, clothing wasn't folded and racks were messy. The floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed for days. I realize the workforce isn't what it used to be, but it was not a comfortable experience. I would have looked around and possibly bought something, but I didn't want to stay there any longer. I most likely will continue to shop JCPenney, but I also can understand why people will shop on-line more and more. I am 70, but I still like to shop locally if I can. Maybe my generation isn't the demographic JCPenney is looking for, but we are a generation that still spends money. Thank you, Donna Quick North Mankato MN m
