  Love the customer service when they actually talk to you. If employees are going to have a gagle let’s not have 7 of them standing in the isle. Maybe hide in the back? I work customer service too- and I get wanting to chat and have fun, it’s frustrating as a guest when you ask for help and they all say it’s not their department they are standing by.

  I came here looking for boots, hunting clothes, and some deer hunting equipment. A guy named dan spoke to me about the boots I was looking at and took a few sizes out and even pointed out a different boot that I should try on that would work better for my specific situation. I thought he was a bit awkward and a bit of a goof at first but the more we started talking the more I realized that he knew what he was talking about and had some really solid advice! We chatted for a bit and then he helped me with picking out a camo set for bow hunting and got me squared away with a really nice set of camo and some other minor equipment. Went out this morning and shot a buck well within 30 yards! Boots worked like a charm! So did the camo! Dan was very nice, very informative, and knew his stuff. Yeah he might be a bit socially awkward but he really knew his stuff and was really fun to talk to! If you’re looking for a good laugh and solid advice I’d definitely recommend talking to him!

  This was a process but I went through 3 sets of Meta glasses. At first I bought Gen 2 metas but wanted longer battery life. So I went in and purchased the Gen 3. At first the handed me an empty box, must have been a display model. Got another set of the Gen 3 and I was happy. The second I got home I dropped them and they broke. I called Meta, ray ban, and Scheels and everyone said I was SOL. 2.5 hours of phone calls. Scheels over the phone said they wouldn’t replace them. I wasn't happy. Then I went into the store to figure out how this is going to plan out or if I was out $530. Then I spoke with Dave and he’s an absolute rockstar. He said we’ll get you taken care of. Got a new set no questions asked. In the Buisness world this is a frequent response but it’s how you handle it. And Dave handled in perfect. I was never about to shop there again and now I will indeed go back for more. Thank you thank you. I will 100% tell my customers/friends on how great they handled this situation and be back to spend more money. Over the phone I felt like a nobody but in person they treated me like a real human being. And I can’t thank you enough for that. As far as the guy named Dave, I solute you for you calmness and respectful attitude. That’s what a great employee is and hopefully the Scheels higher ups/management see this. Thank you for taking care of me. Very much appreciated. From a 1star to 5. Keep hiring people like Dave.

  Zero stars if I could. You will be treated differently based on your race at this location! The customer service in the men’s shoe department was extremely disappointing. I watched employees help white families attentively and speak to them politely. When I asked an employee for my shoe size, he told me he was helping another family and would come back to me. He never did. After those customers left, the employees disappeared into the back. When they later came back out to help another white customer, I asked again about my size. This time, the employee was extremely rude, spoke loudly to me, and seemed unwilling to even check for the shoe size I requested. Based on how differently I was treated compared with the customers around me, I left feeling that race may have played a role in the service I received. At checkout, I discussed this behavior with the employee there and explained that I felt I had been treated in a racist and discriminatory manner. Regardless of the reason, no customer should be treated this way. Scheels needs to do a better job training employees to treat every customer with basic kindness, respect, and professionalism. This was one of the worst retail experiences I’ve had.

  the worst experience i’ve ever had in any store. yall think cause u white n rich yall can treat people who aren’t like shit. not one employee in there asked me if i was doing okay, or bothered to even acknowledge me for real. but when a white woman with bleach blonde hair walks by a good 5 steps in front of me, one of your employees who is also a bleach blonde white woman asks her if she’s doing okay and finding everything okay. but me??? nah she wanna make eye contact and look around like i don’t exist. and even before this not one employee acknowledged me and if they did it was a “wtf are u doin here” stare. yall gotta to get it together cause ain’t no way yall treat people like this. an experience i will never forget and not for a good thing.
