You know, for being a major toy store at the biggest mall... I expected a little more. Yeah, the sculptures were pretty cool, I concede. But the store was... Just alright, I guess. Nothing crazy, not laid out super well, busy, cramped, and not staffed that well. I guess at the end of the day I'd rather shop at any random Lego store at a local mall. Even the one at Disneyland is way cooler than this. And I think it's fair to expect that the Lego store at the Mall of America brings it's A-game.

This is one of Lego's flagship stores... although it was a bit smaller than I expected. Lots to see and interact with including some large static models on the ground floor. The "roof" is topped with some enormous Lego models and well worth taking a look at from the higher levels in the Mall. Knocked a star off as two separate things we were looking for / to do weren't available; I wanted to look for the keyring torches, but they only had one type which I didn't want, and my daughter wanted to make her own minifigure... this had a hand-written notice saying that the screen printing part was not currently available, so we had to leave this too. Even though it's on the small size for a flagship store, the queues at times got very busy, and is something to watch out for. At one point it took them a while to open extra tills to deal with the crowd wating to pay. Plenty of friendly staff in evidence and happy to help you or advise where they could. I'd have liked to be able to get closer to the roof models but all you can do is view them from other parts of the Mall, which is a shame.

Such a great store! There were so many sets to choose from and very reasonable prices, some even cheaper than online prices.

This store’s model is to create scarcity and demand by 1 not keeping enough stock and 2 not having a large enough footprint to accommodate a reasonable number of patrons. It seems they enjoy having a bouncer and a long line outside the shop. The experience is consistently bad. I would recommend never using this store, especially if you have children. Save your time and just get what you want elsewhere or online. (Pro tip: the Barnes & Noble in the mall has many of the most popular sets, small lines, and often batter prices.)
