  came in to return shoes from the men’s section and asked an associate at the register for help. She told me to wait a few seconds, she had long blonde hair. but instead of assisting me, she continued chatting and flirting with other customers while I was left waiting. It felt unprofessional and disrespectful of my time.

  If you need shoes and really like to try them on as opposed to ordering blind online this is the place for you. Everyone that works in the show dept. Is friendly, knowledgeable and give expedient service. The clothing dept. Staff are great as well! Go during seasonal changes and shop for deals!

  I placed an order for pickup 4/11, based upon it being in inventory in Somerset on that date. A free item was included (to be shipped) and my order was supposed to be ready for pickup on the 15th. Not what I wanted but okay. The shipped item (free) arrived on the 14th. I arrived at the store today and the staff tried to tell me that my order (which was labeled pick up) was being shipped. Then I was asked if I was sure whether or not I had picked up my order. What? Excuse me? A manager came over to assist and tried to tell me that the item was still being shipped to the store and hadn’t arrived yet (it was after 5 pm). I then told her to check inventory IN THE STORE, and lo and behold they had it in stock. Then the rude manager wanted to tell me how they have until the end of the day to get order together, as if it wasn’t 5pm, and they close at 8. She then, quite rudely and condescendingly told me she hoped I had a better day. I wish she had an education so that she would know how to do her job and actually perform customer service that Nordstrom is known for. Her team was slacking and not packing up orders. And she got an attitude with a customer for wanting their merchandise. She was a rude, unprofessional black woman. I am a black woman. Do not shop at this store. I’m a Nordy Ambassador and the inventory is garbage and the customer service is subpar. Welcome to Detroit. She didn’t even want to give me a bag.

  Very disappointing experience with Nordstrom. I ordered shoes and received a pillow instead — already a major fail. Come to find out the item was from Mango, a third-party seller. I didn’t sign up to shop a marketplace; I expected Nordstrom quality and accountability. When I tried to sort out the return, the employee (Aliyah) couldn’t process my return OR print a return label for me. I walked out with nothing resolved. Nordstrom is starting to look more like Walmart than the upscale retailer it claims to be. Very disappointing — will think twice before ordering again.

  Nordstrom is my go to clothing store. You can find items in all price ranges. Sales staff is always professional. Return policy is generous, though you need to watch for limitations on items that are shipped from the manufacturer. I quit Macy's when became a Kohls with 30 day returns and higher prices. I love their Nordy club. Their big sales are incredible. If I can't find it at Nordstrom, I don't need it.
