  I left Dunham's extremely disappointed. In my experience, the employee in the gun department was unprofessional, and the manager's handling of the situation only made things worse. Their attitudes and lack of professionalism were very concerning, especially in a department that sells firearms. The employee seemed visibly annoyed when I asked to see a different firearm, as if it was an inconvenience to take another one out for me to look at. Instead of helping me make an informed purchase, I felt like I was being treated as a burden. The overall interaction came across as rude and unnecessarily authoritative, which made for a very uncomfortable experience. The background check process was a nightmare. It involved multiple attempts and lengthy delays, making the entire experience frustrating and time-consuming. I won't be returning and would recommend shopping elsewhere.   I tried to purchase a handgun here from a young mixed gentleman that from the start of the process acted like he hated his job. He was very disrespectful and arrogant and obviously hates his job. I highly suggest purchasing fire arms from other businesses in the Traverse City area.

  Definitely don’t go to this location, go to the other one. The staff is a joke. Unpersonable, unprofessional, and uneducated.

  I purchased a rifle at Dunham's Sports. It was in stock, and the price was good. After the forms were completed, they put a cable lock on it, put it in the box, and walked it to the store exit, where they handed it to me. When I got home I removed the cable lock, and was surprised to find a trigger lock on it too. There was no key for the trigger lock, so I called the store and was informed that I would need to drive back to the store so they could remove the trigger lock. The staff was apologetic, but I wasn't pleased with the extra hour of driving, especially with gas over $4/gallon.
