  Shopping with teenagers is something I look forward to slightly more than getting the flu or paying taxes and that's about it. Enter April at the 12 Oaks American Eagle. She was a breath of fresh air! She knew the product line through and through and was very helpful selecting the right fit/style for each of my children's body types. She listened and found many different options for each of them. April continued to explore sizes, colors, options, etc. for the right item. It was the apex of customer service and we will return to this location because of April. Sure it is a longer drive from Toledo, but what usually ended in teenage angst and a wasted trip ended with very happy customers and primarily a one stop shop for clothing! Thank you for the hard work, honest feedback, and care you put into making our shopping experience the best possible for my family. Highly highly recommend.

  The women working here performed denim miracles for me today! I am very happy with their customer service (incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, not aggressive or pushy), their selection, and their prices. I came to return things I had ordered online but didn’t fit properly and I hadn’t planned on trying anything on since my inseam is usually an online exclusive. The woman at the register gave me some fit tips and offered to show me some styles and sizes that she could order and have shipped to me. This is a much better option than ordering a bunch of stuff online and HOPING it fits so I tried it. By some strange coincidence they had my size and inseam in stock (someone else must have returned their online order) and another pair that fit nicely in a standard length so I unexpectedly came home with two pairs of jeans. AND THEY WERE ON SALE!!

  Not a shock that retail stores are going out of business. I can’t even get store credit for a Christmas present my son received that he didn’t want without a receipt… Amazon is as easy as can be. It’s all about customer service and these stores that are going away have none…

  We had a very poor interaction with a cashier today. My husband wanted to exchange a pair of jeans ordered online. They were still in the clear plastic packaging and my husband never even tried them on. The woman pulled them out and saw there wasn’t a tag. Then she smelled them and said “they’ve been washed, I can smell the detergent” and gave us a look like we were lying about never opening the bag. I said “weren’t they in the clear plastic bag still?” She said “Yeah, but that can be opened and resealed”. She basically accused us of lying even though we returned the pants exactly how they were mailed to us. She made a big fuss about figuring out what kind of jeans they are since there wasn’t a tag. Besides, the return policy says all you need is a receipt to return jeans. We are loyal AE customers and were extremely disappointed by how the worker treated us. She made us feel like we were doing something wrong and were liars.
