This is honestly a terrible company, if I could give 0 stars I would, I’ve already received a bond violation for a false positive with my insight device, and when I called about it I got the most terrible agent on the phone, no sense of urgency or help at all, I was told that I just had to have had alcohol on my breath when it happened, come to find out after doing more research it was condensation that got on the fuel cell which caused me to get those results, I had to spend almost $70 on a ETG test to prove no alcohol was in my system for the past 2 days, while also having to have my lawyer do more work by explaining it to the judge and prosecutor, luckily they understood and I didn’t get charged for it. Secondly just recently I received a payment date of April 19th, well the 19th is Sunday a day that the offices are CLOSED and I can’t make a payment, and it makes it no better that I tried to make the payment on Friday but every time I called this company, they can never pull up my account even after giving them my name, DOB, Drivers license number, or serial number, they literally will have me on hold for 10 min+ trying to figure out the issue until someone eventually gets it, on Friday after my account was finally pulled up I was told to call the Michigan offices to make my payment, well I couldn’t do that because by the time my account was pulled up it was around 5:15, the Michigan offices close at 5:00pm so I called Saturday just to get an automated message saying the offices are closed on Saturday and Sunday, so why give me a payment date for the 19th if you guys knew it would literally be impossible for me to make the payment, after doing my own research and getting literally no help from smart start I contacted ALLPAID which is where my payments go to and made my own payment through their site, and after calling 5 different numbers I was finally able to get some help with unlocking my device which still didn’t help much because I missed my first time window which is from 7-9 I wasn’t able to get the device unlocked until 9:23, I’m
Pretty sure I’m going to get ANOTHER bond violation for this I’m literally going to have to call my monitor tomorrow and beg for them to understand how I keep having problems with a company that is supposed to help me prove I’m on the right path, this is honestly ridiculous. And on top of that I’m constantly told my account can’t be set up for the portal which would literally solve all my problems when it comes to payment and you guys not being able to find my account, it’s like this company purposely wants you to fail.

Place will tell you that it only takes a couple of hours to install. Then take 8 to 9 hours to install, damage your vehicle where it can’t be fixed like your airbag. The low payed employees are really nice upper management are duch bags. In the end of the process you will have to get a final report and expect there to be a false positive on there for the state to see. And you will know its fake because there’s no count down for the system to get reset. If I was to get a system put on ever again I would go to one of there many competitors INTOXALOCK, ALCOLOCK have 5 star reviews. No reason to call this company for a interlock system. they will try and charge you for giving there system back for self removal if you have your own mechanic that won’t damage your personal property take it off. O ya they have a removal fee if they do it also. If there is any company to boycott this is the company DO NOT COME TO THIS COMPANY IM WARNNING ALL.

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. What can breathalyzers detect?
Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
Can I unplug my Ignition Interlock?
Check with your state authority to see if you are allowed to unplug your Ignition Interlock before doing so.
