  I really don’t enjoy Cabelas. They are generally overpriced. They've done stupid things like charge me a restock fee for a small package of treble hooks without telling me, which is trash. This last time I was there, I had an encounter with the least competent cashier I have ever had in 55 years on this earth. Cash purchases should be the most simple thing as a cashier. When my children were 8 they could have worked as cashiers. This cashier struggled the transaction before mine and he probably struggled the transaction after mine. I wasn't going to stick around to find out, however, as it took me close to a half an hour between waiting for 1 person to make multiple transactions before me and me to get shuffled over to the service desk, stand there for 5 minutes, then get shuffled back to the same incompetent cashier before finally "understanding" how cash and math kinda work. Please, please, please, if you are going to be overpriced and out of stock on items I want for lengthy periods of time, hire semi-competent cashiers so that silly things don't happen when people just want to grudgingly overpay for your merchandise.

  Nice place lots of choices. Always nice to see physical items. Firearms left side and fish/clothing on right side inside store.

  I got a supposed to be Douglas border collie but it turned out to be a bass pro shops brand instead of the Douglas brand definitely cheaper than a Douglas but if your looking for the Douglas brand go to the toy store in Rockford MI they have a lot!

  Service at the gun counter is terrible. They ignore you and stand around talking to each other. Even when you ask for help they say to sign in online and go back to talking. After waiting at least 15 mins and no help after asking and signing in. I left and purchased my firearm from a local shop (slightly more expensive, far superior customer service )

  The horror stories about the Cabela’s firearm counters are true! The gun counter here has horrible customer service, I ordered a rifle from Cabelas’s a month ago and it was ready for pick up a week later, I went in and did my background check and it was delayed, 17 days later they call me and tell me they got a proceed 3 days ago and never got a hold of me until now, i am now on vacation which we left yesterday for and will have to completely redo my background check due to there 5 day policy.I was calling every few days to check on the status and the last time I called one of the workers went off on me and told me that I can not be calling to check on my status and was very rude about it. I loved this store and even have a club membership but this completely ruined it for me and I will be canceling my membership and taking my business elsewhere. Be ware.
